audio msgs work great, however textra doesn't hold the phone captive from going to sleep/screen off when playing them back.

Blocklist - Delete chat
Having the "view" and "delete" next to each other is a mess. I have fat fingers and have deleted more chats that I want. Days later, I realized there's a undo button, too late. At least add a confirmation before deleting.

Arbitrary send delay
I would like to be able to schedule a message send out on some calendar, or at least via an hours minutes timer. at this point, text has become the standard for short format notes. But unlike email, it tends to be intrusive. use case. a birthday greeting , where I'm on a night schedule and I don't want to wake the recipient. maybe even tag the message with a user set footnote that the text was queued x hours ago and the sender may not be active at present. yea, I know. email... but so many people just aren't…

When using Dual Sim, force reply from the Sim receiving the original message
Makes it harder to reply from the wrong sim when using a Dual Sim setup. Default setting would be to reply from the Sim receiving the original message, while still allowing this setting to be overridden when necessary.

Add person to single chat to make group
Need ability to add a person or persons to a single chat to create a group rather than starting from scratch. It's not uncommon to be in chats and want to it send to that person and another. More efficient and intuitive to 'add person' than stumble around, realize can't, and build new group with that person + another/others

Filter or group nuisance texts - I get a lot of spam and it clutters my inbox. I'd like to filter out texts to see texts from my contacts only, is that possible?

Color code icon SIM1 vs SIM2
Please use different colors for the SIM1 and SIM2 icons.
Easy to accidentally press the SIM selector, hard to read the number on the SIM icon, resulting in accidental send from wrong SIM. Using different icon color for SIM1 vs SIM2 is simple elegant solution.14 votes -

American date format is very confusing. If we have to work with this format .can we have the month as a three letter word.

Chat bubble padding
I've been using this app for YEARS and still no padding control. 🥴
We need to be able to adjust chat bubble padding in 3 areas:
Width padding from L/R edges
Height padding between text messages
Padding around text inside the chat bubbles (to make the bubbles look a bit thicker — match iPhone messages)

I don't see that tetra has a template feature where we can insert short messages that are frequently used

Keep contact colors from changing
I like that new contacts are assigned different colors for their contact bubbles. This helps me visually tell the difference between people without having to always look at their name. This gets harder, however, when the contact colors change, which seems to happen when I add new contacts. It would be great if the colors for old contacts stayed the same when new contacts were added. I know I can do this manually, but I would love for it to be automatic.

When your texting in an active gc and someone's texts u privately in the gc to hold the text bubble and respond there so u and them can see ur response than it getting crazy js like iphones do. It would be great for this new feature

Option to change date view
I live in the UK where we show our dates as DD/MM/YY. I'd love to be able to change the date of the text to the way we use it rather than MM/DD/YY as it can get confusing.

Temporarily mute a group text
Allow muting (silencing) a group text for an hour/day/whatever for when group texts blow up with "me too", "feel better", etc. so you don't have to remember to un-silence the group later.

Diactricts rules based on SIM card
Hello,
I have phone with two simcards. Maybe that will be possible to add options to set diactricts rules based on SIM card. I mean when I send using SIM1 then don't touch diactricts, but when SIM2 then replace diactricts to reduce sms count.1 vote
