If what I want to 'copy' in a previous send looks like an email address, it automatically wants to spawn the email app, not allowing me to just 'copy' it as text. How about text is text Unless user does a hold down tap on that text, then test it for email need? Other than this quirk, the app is implemented very well. GOOD JOB!

  4. customise with smart lock or any app lock

    I use smart app lock to lock my messaging app... but texra allows to open messages through call log or contacts... Customise this in a way to lock it completely If texra is selected to lock....

  5. MMS = Messy Messaging System

    Hey gang. I know there have been several threads already about MMS troubles but wanted to express my point separately.

    The need to try so many different setups to get mms working over WiFi is too frustrating I think for the average user.

    I am a techie & am already completely frustrated with trying to get it working. It seemed to work for a while or in small batches, but the old "can't get mms" message always eventually returns on its own. How could it receive and send some MMS over WiFi and then stop working without any change?

  10. Creating folders to separate different groups of people

    I organise a football team and a rugby team.
    I'd like to be able to have separate folders for these conversations to make it easier to find messages.
    Just like folders in email.

  11. I'd like to be able to sort certain messages into a specific folder.

    I get messages from certain places like alerts to account statuses and such. I'd like to be able to create a folder so that all these messages, go in there, and instead of showing all my messages at once on one screen (or message threads on one screen that is), same for creating a folder for a group of people. That way, when I load my message window, it doesn't display all my message threads all at once.   12. Option to notify about any unread messages when phone is started

    Currently, if the phone is turned off when any Textra notifications are still in the notification bar, the notifications will not be shown again when the phone is powered up. This can mean that messages are missed, if the phone restarts.

    I would like to see the option to notify about any unread messages when the phone starts.

  13. Vibration Notification Patterns

    The default patterns are pretty bad. Long is too long, I never need my phone to vibrate that long. Medium is too much like the default vibrate pattern for an incoming call. Short is fine (although very short). But multiple short should be 3 pulses at most. 4 is too many and gets annoying.

  15. WHY THE CHANGE TO AN AD-BASED or PRO UPGRADE version?

    Unreal that today I was prompted to either pony up and pay for the pro version, or be subjected to advertisements.

    Even better? I was told my "free trial has expired". REALLY? I've had your app installed for years at this point. This is such sneaky-a$$ BS.

    Why the change, guys? Sure, you have a good program, but there are DOZENS of SMS programs out there, offering the same features, for FREE. This change WILL cause me to uninstall your app, and go to one of your competitors.

  20. is there any way i can get deleted messages back?

    A friend of mine deleted our messages so that someone wouldn't see them and little did he know I had messages from like 2 years ago. Is there any way to retrieve them?
