Date format
It would be great to have an option to choose date format, or let app use system format. Eg. system format is DD/MM/YYYY but Textra app shows message date as M/D/YYYY (shortened date format) which is really confusing if one is not used to that format.

Merging text messages
When someone updates their number, we have to create a new text thread. This idea should allow us to update the number without creating a new thread.

tablet/browser synchronization.
I've been sending and receiving sms since i bought my first drab grey nokia for myself for Christmas in 1993. As I've gotten older, my perfect vision has fallen away as I now require readers much of the time. I find myself using a tablet more frequently as I age Since I can hold it further away with larger print and not have to bother with readers. But as many messages as I get throughout the day I find myself constantly putting the readers on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off.

Mute conversation
I would like a feature where a specific conversation could be "muted" for a period of time. For example, if a group text is extremely active for a while and I don't want to participate at that time and all the notifications are bothering me, I would like to mute that conversation for 30 minutes. I don't want to mute my phone because I want to receive all my other notifications. Sometimes, I just want to stop getting pings and vibrations from a really busy group text until I can turn to it later and read it all.

Auto blocker
For the last couple months I've got a ton of spam texts, all from email addresses. Consider adding an auto block setting for incoming email message texts

Silence unknown numbers
I hate when my phone vibrates and I look to see that it's a spam text. Could Textra add a setting to have silent notifications only for unknown numbers?

i think maybe there should be a setting for the day/month/year display on conversations so people can choose between having either the date or month displayed first :)

Themed text colors not as difficult as enabling all colors.
text colors for at least a similar type of themed color so that "match" is a choice of letting Textra do it, which is the way it is now, but then the text could be the direct inverse of the receiving text colors. So, not necessarily the whole range as with the background text recipient and sender but like being Halloween, I had set up the received (or their) colors as orange background, and black text, which is possible already. Add another person to current conversation
When you are texting someone or a group, it would be nice to be able to edit the group from that screen (which I realizes creates or goes to a different thread) rather than having to start from scratch. This is especially helpful on a group thread when you want to remove or add someone, and don't want to add all the people from scratch.

blocklist backup
Sometimes, for installing new version of Textra, it is necessary to remove previous version.
in these cases, user should block all numbers that was blocked in previous version of app from the first.
