  1. Export All Pics

    I stopped using Textra then started using it again. During that lapse in judgement, my pics in texts were not autosave. It would be great to be able to sync to Gallery album or export all pics somehow.

  2. individual contact notification sounds

    would you guys be able to give us the ability to set custom contact notification sounds for each contact? it wouldn't help us distinguish who's texting us without looking at our phone

  3. selecting text

    make a nice way to select a part of a portion of a previous text without having to copy the entire text. many times need to only select an address, phone number or some sort of text in a sms message. can only copy an entire sms message right now currently.

  4. separation of new messages and contacts

    having saved contacts and messages from new numbers separate could aid in filtering spam messages, i get blown up with spam and having messages from new numbers in a separate location from my preexisting contacts would stop my inbox from being so cluttered

  5. blurry gifs problem.

    text message carrier setting is a default 300kb, your gif will be compressed to that making it blurry.
    Go to Textra settings/MMS and adjust the carrier setting up from 300kb to 600 kB and problem is solved... Nice clear gifs

  8. Icon for Blocklist

    Add an option to allow icons (customizable) to show in notifications, if receiving any messages from the blocklist. Can be helpful to check and delete unwanted messages instead of just ignoring over time and clog up memory.

  12. Create a group as a contact so you don't have to save a thread forever.

    In the current messaging program I use that came with the phone one of the contacts is groups. This way you can just tap on the group and send a text message instead of having to choose every person in the group every time or save the thread forever

  13. Vibration patterns work on Android 11 with Textra build 4.29

    If you search for Textra 4.29 on ApkMirror and install it, you can once again set custom vibration patterns even if you're running Android 11. Textra needs to bring this feature back, as clearly Android 11 isn't blocking the functionality. Give the people what they want, not one long BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

  14. Seasonal Notification Icons

    Wouldn't it be great if we had seasonal Notification icons? Like a 🎄, ⛄, or a cross for Christmas? A 🎃, witch, 👻, vampire for Halloween? 🐰 or Cross for Easter? There's more of course but couldn't fit them all.

    Please return the regular back button (android back button). I don't like your button at the top. I'm a one-handed person, and I much prefer the bottom.

  16. Voice memo option to lock while recording

    I use voice memos a lot to talk with friends! Several apps such as Whatsapp, Signal, and Facebook Messenger have the ability to "lock" while recording, so that you don't have to hold down the record button the whole time. Would you be able to implement this? Thank you and love the app!

  17. One handed mode

    It would be an option for something more similar to the messaging app on Samsungs.
    Your first message seen would be about halfway down the screen. This makes opening your most recent texts a lot easier when using one hand.

    I'd like the option to turn on /off automatic reply messages, custom or default, to blocked senders. that'd be great.
