  1. More options for dual-sim devices.

    Thank you for the dual sim support and I love using textra over all of the messaging services available.

    But the big issue I have is that my fat fingers often times change the sim that I am texting to and I text from my secondary number. That is extremely frustrating as my family members get messages from an unknown number. Perhaps you can expand upon the sim choice selection by allowing you to choose which sim to send from for each contact and then it will default to that sim for all of the messages vs choosing which sim…

  3. Spam text filtering

    I receive a lot of spam texts with malicious links. While your amazing controls help prevent them from interrupting my day, it's still something I have to manually remove 2-6 times a day, lest I accidentally click a link.

    It would be awesome to have some kind of filter by key word or email address(as most of these are from spam emails sent carrier email to text) that I can use to block or filter out these useless and possibly dangerous messages.

  4. Switch between dual Sim should be more difficult to change

    I have two Sim cards but one is usually inactive only for use when I travel. Should Textra be able to know when Sim is disabled and not allow you to change sim1 or sim2 if only one Sim is active. Or it should perhaps not be next to send button because I have accidentally changed my Sim multiple times when pressing send. Maybe it should be up on top of the menu so this doesn't happen. I do think that when one Sim is disable Textra shouldn't allow you to change to that Sim.

  6. External Keyboard Nav

    Allow for use of an external keyboard to navigate chats.
    For example I could use the arrow keys to select a chat I want to type in and press enter to open it. As soon as I start typing it should automatically start putting that text into the text box. Pressing enter should allow for a newline to be entered while Shift + Enter should allow for the message to be sent. The Esc key could be used to return to the chat selection or used to simply go back in navigation.

  10. Support for Folding phones

    It would be nice for the app to support screens like Samsung fold 3 when unfolded . A column on the left with the list of recipients(different chats) , then the rest of the screen with the actual chat thread in it.

  12. I'm sad to say, your gifs search suck

    Hi! Pro User here, big fan of what you guys have done with this app. you people are awesome! That is why it makes me really sad, really sad to say something bad. But your gifs suck. Compared to WhatsApp or Android messenger, they have a way better selection of gifs. When I search for gifs when I deep in a conversation with someone and I'm trying to make em laugh, I can't find any good gifs you have.

    Also, when I search for one, the search word stays in the search bar after I close and reopen to talk…

  16. Web Preview as Rich Embedded

    As of right now, web previews for links show up below the link and it looks messy if it is a long link. Would it be possible to either auto-shorten the link or have it be hidden and just hyperlink the web preview sort of how it's done on discord? Not sure if this is possible with SMS but would be great to see some sort of cleaner solution for longer links.

  17. Open message in text editor inside Textra.

    Sometimes I need to copy a specific text, number or code from a SMS. Currently I can only copy the whole text. I then have to paste that in a text editor to copy what I need. I think it could be handy to do that directly inside Textra.

  18. Add support for Android emoji reactions

    I've seen posts in relation to iPhone reactions, however, Android now has text message reactions as well. It would be nice if they actually showed up on the message (and if you were able to do them yourself), rather than just sending a message saying '[emoji] to [message]'.
