  1. Grouping of messages

    sort the personal messages and other notifications messages from the carrier sim and group them seperately. This change will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

  2. Multiple options for sorting messages

    Headers for sections would make it much more visually appealing and easier to see how the list of messages are organized. See the Pulse texting app for an example. I love how it has a header for each section and sorts my pinned conversations at the top, followed by the conversations from today, then this week, and finally older conversations. So much easier to find things! Also options to filter or sort by read vs. unread messages. Everyone likes to sort things differently. Give users the option to customize this. But either way, please add headers to organize the list…

  3. Detect and move security code messages to a separate folder

    We all get these one-off 6-digit codes by text clogging up our actual conversations with friends.

    Seems like you could detect these messages with some simple flags:

    • was the contact in your address book?
    • did you need to create a new thread?
    • if there's a thread, has it already been identified as a code generating contact?
    • does the message contain 4 or more numbers in a row??
    • does the message contain words like 'code,' 'security,' etc.

    Once a message is identified, move it to a new folder or keep a single thread with multiple messages dropped there.

  6. Still waiting for the "typing or writing" notification

    Would like to be able to to see the person I texted responding to my text. It could say "typing or writing" You can maybe even do the °°° thing that Messenger does when someone is responding to your message.

  7. Contact Color Rings on Convo list

    in the convo list area, you can see all the people you talk to. if they dont have a contact picture, it shows the icon as the custom color you have them. but with a picture, you cant see their color.
    I think the Contact picture should have a thin colored ring, just to make it easier to distinguish the contacts by color.

  8. Send message to calendar

    I would like to be able to send a message to the calendar to create an appointment or a reminder.

    Someone just texted me : "ok see you on Monday 7pm then!" and I would like to turn that message into an appointment somehow. At least a reminder so that I don't forget about it without having to exit Textra, go to calendar, set a new appointment.

    Love the app.

    I text with iPhone users and they are always liking our disliking messages in the text chain. It's annoying in that it is displayed as "name of person liked - (insert entire message). Would it be possible to have like /dislike or up vote/ down vote functionality? Or have the likes /disliking displayed as icons rather than quoting the entire message?

    I'm sure integrating with iOS messages is a huge pain. Just a thought.

  13. Scheduling Texts - REPEAT

    for starters, I LOVE Textra. I've been using for years. The big I reported some time ago you guys fixed (texts not sending from quick reply) and I thank you!

    My suggestion comes in scheduling texts. I would love to be able to schedule a text to repeat. I have a text to schedule for every Tuesday to one person, but to do it for every week I have to schedule, every, single, week. Having a way to set the texts to REPEAT every week at the same scheduled time would be fantastic!

    It would be a great addition to this app an option for auto reply when set with costum message and also auto send message + costum message for a special date, like birthday and so on.. And to have ability to setup costum messages for every date, not only one for all of them..

    right now under someone's contact info the only way you can give it to someone is with an email.. you need to be able to send it through a text, MMS, or SMS
