    having the ability to have an add to contacts option within the messenger when a non-contact supported number texts you that you would like to add to your contacts would be great.

    I stopped using textra due to Messages for Android allowing for a desktop browser session. Please add this to textra, so I can continue using it!

  5. Additional phone call button

    Great app! It would be great to also have a call button if you start composing a message but then want to phone them instead.

  8. Archive Feature

    I love this app, I will continue to give it a 5 star rating regardless of the outcome of this request.

    The one thing I feel as though this application is lacking is an archive feature. It's the one thing that comes with the native Android application that Textra doesn't have.

    Personally, I don't delete text message. It would be nice to hide messages so that it doesn't feel as cluttered.

  9. Auto Delete Texts BY DATE

    I suggest allowing the user to choose to delete texts by volume and/or by "days passed since read". We already have the option to choose "Messages to Keep" per conversation (ie. keep only 25 sms per convo, etc). But I also want to be able to auto-delete texts once a certain number of days have passed since seeing the text. Meaning: I could say "Auto-delete all read texts older than XX days". PLEASE allow me choose as low as 1 day-----that's what I want to be able to do, ultimately). Note that it is important that the app should only…

  10. SIM card alias/tagging/customization

    I would love to be able to customize sim number icon, i.e. with custom color.
    also i am always forgetting which is which so I would like to tag those with text for example simple main/aux or home/work etc would be awesome

    It would be helpful if there was an icon on the notification to let me know there is an image included in a message. As of right now I don't know there's an image unless I tap on the message to open it.

  14. Rotate or randomize automatic colors

    I would like the feature of randomizing the colors automatically signed to contacts. I don't rely on the same colors each time so I would like the option. It can be a toggle switch for those who like the consistent colors.

  17. Recent used Phone number

    Is there option to choose beetven recent used phone numbers and favourite contacts when I start write new SMS? Huawei SMS app always shows recent used phones numbers and it is very helpful and awesome.

  18. Resend failed messages automatically until it's successful

    From time to time my provider's messaging system gets congested, or I suddenly find myself in an area with 2 bars or less in terms of signal strength. Often times in these consignee, I get an error message saying that the message didn't send and it makes me continuously click + retry, click + retry...until it finally gets through. Having the error catcher that's already in Textra for this "loop until sent and received" would be a huge time saver and major stress/mental health management feature.

  19. Alex-tra (Textra + Alexa)

    It would be awesome if there was an Alexa blueprint/ability to interface with Textra, allowing one to have their incoming messages alerted by Alexa, saying there's a new notification of a message from Jane Doe, then Alexa asks the user if they'd like the message read out loud.

    It would also be great if the user could ask Alexa to compose a message to so and so, sending and receiving messages or Textra alerts hands-free at anytime or anywhere around the house!

  20. customize the icon for a group message

    Ability to Insert a picture as a custom icon for a group message instead of having a cluster of the contact's photos that are in the group as the icon. (I believe this used to be a feature of Textra)
