  3. details folder for saving MMS media

    others have already posted about this, but it would be awesome to be able to choose the MMS save folder. having to go into the Textra media folder in a file browser and cut/paste to a standard folder like Pictures or even DCIM is really easy to forget. I've lost a lot of pics because of the default location

  4. Add "iMessage effects"

    Add an option to display a small animation when you receive a message like "Happy Birthday" or "Happy New Year" just like on iMessage.

  5. option to sort by read/unread messages

    Right now unread messages are mixed in with read, just all ordered by time. It would be nice to have the option to sort by unread so that unread messages stay at the top and read messages are sorted after, and they are both sorted by time respectively but aren't mixed together.

  8. hyperlink address

    It is hard to copy an address from a text. My phone app highlights the address so I can just click it to open google maps. It also doesn't allow for me to select part of the text so I can copy the address part. Just an idea for the future.

  11. Add option to view only conversations with unread messages

    The menu on the conversations list offers four options: Settings, Mark All as Read, Tell your Friends, and What's New. It would be nice to add an option for "Unread only" to show only those conversations with unread messages.

    When this option is selected, only conversations with unread messages (those spam messages you haven't deleted yet, the texts you forgot to deal with, etc.) would be shown.

    Perhaps at the top, where it says "Textra", it could change to "Textra - Unread Only" (and maybe even, it it's possible, tapping that would switch back to all conversations. Otherwise, from the…

    Both Messenger and WhatsApp have the ability to swipe and reply to a specific message. That would be a great feature to have available in Textra, as well.

  14. Add more customized notification icons.

    For the most part what's there doesnt really apply to many of my contacts. I love the idea. For example; I have a friend that gossips a lot and that would be cool to have an icon that reflects that.

  20. On/Off Button for Individual or Group Chat

    It would be nice if you could decide whether each text was group or bulk text messages. For work related items, I like to group chat so everyone knows what's going on. For group personal texts, not everyone wants mass notifications when I need to let family know something. Especially when everyone responds "ok". Having a choice on whether a group text results in everyone seeing each response would be very useful.
