Make tracking numbers links
Make lengthy numbers that are likely tracking numbers into links that you can click, similar to the feature on the iOS messages app. This link could perform a simple Google Search for the tracking number, as Google will determine the carrier and provide you the link to view tracking history.

The ability to send a message without revealing the senders identity. This would be useful in the case where you want to send a spirit lifting message, or a compliment and knowing who sent it may not be so important.

Redshift on Emoji Keyboard
I use Twilight at night, which works great, however the emoji keyboard seems immune to the redshift for some reason.

Hidden Chats
Hope there is an option where you could hide your conversation with a certain individual. the conversation will not be seen/displayed on the text messages list.
in doing so, you will be asked to create a pin and rename the conversation into something you only would know. the rename will be used to search the conversation and the pin will be used to open it.1 vote -
Auto-Theme font color shouldn't always be black
When you enable Auto-Theme conversations no matter what the font color is black. So that means dark purple bubble + black text = completely unreadable. The font color should change dependent upon whether the color classifies as light or dark. Or make the calculation be a percentage so the font color would be 50% of the bubble color or something

Don't work on Asus ZenFone 3, Android 7.0
Textra is a very nice application.
BUT when my phone is in sleeping mode, I simply lost all sms.

Create a plug-in for custom themes for Textra
Create a plug-in for FIT(Do it Yourself) themes.. Have a selection of predetermined backgrounds available as well as the option to upload your own. Then have the ability to add features such as text, effects, color selection etc.... Let's make Textra the best messaging app by giving the user complete customization of the application.

How to add bacground picture in app where is all txt messages and in each Convesration ?

SIM card selection icon.
Why the SIM card selection icon appear beside the SEND button when the second SIM is not activated. Could you change the place of this icon too. With my big fingers I always hit it with the SEND button and my sms stay in my phone because the SIM 2 is not active.

1200 KB MMS limit option for Verizon.
Hello! Verizon's MMS limit for LTE devices is 1200 KB. It would be nice to have an option to specifically choose 1200KB in the options for MMS size limit. Thanks!

"CTRL + F" Message Search
In Google Messenger, there's an option to search for a specific word or words throughout all of your messages. All of those words that are in the search bar would be highlighted. It makes it a lot easier when trying to find a specific text.

Add events to callendar
all too often do I get a text to make plans for a something a few hours, days or even months away and I forget about them until the last minute. For example my dad wants to go to a concert July 24th but if I dont set a reminder, then I will surely forget about it. Please, make it possible for the app to detect appointments or events and give the option to save, much like Apple's iMessage

Show locked messages symbol
In conversation list, if there's locked messages in a particular thread, it should be showing in the list.
