Option for showing delivery reports
I think this makes the design of the app feel a little more cluttered than it needs to if you have then enabled. It could be called "show message status" and it would hide or show the "sent" or "delivered" text under each sent message. It's a simple feature but I think I would improve the app greatly for those of us who use delivery reports.

Pin Groups
I'd love to be able to pin groups to the top of my conversations. I have a couple that I use not quite every day but when they get buried and they're hard to find. I always have to start a new conversation and them to the next for the old one to pop up.

allow the ability to toggle using individual themes
I have set a large number of color themes for different contacts and think it would be neat to allow us to toggle them on or off without resetting them. in other words, making it possible to use the default colors across all chats or individual ones, all while preserving the colors set for individual chats.

Sms with just signature.
I often have to send sms with the same text. So I made it as signature. But textra does not allow send empty sms with just signature and I have to put some unneeded symbols in sms.
Can you please allow send empty sms if it has signature? For example add such small feature in signature options.1 vote -

text on lock screen
instead of it popping up on the top of the Phone we should have it like an iphone the notification should appear in the middle and you chose if you want to reply or clear the message

Transparent Notification Bar!
Not sure whether this is a OS thing or an App thing. But would it be possible for the status bar to be exactly the color of the theme you select it ? Could you make it an option on whether we would like the exact same color tint status bar or a darker shade?

Notification mode overriding from Textra not good
In sleep mode, my Android ROM shows me notifications like this: screen off > screen on with a line for the notification, colors of the screen in black & white for less consumption and low brightness > 10 seconds and screen off. I like this.
Textra, by overriding this built-in system, turn on the screen, full color and full luminosity, and turn off after the screen on duration specified in the phone settings, 1mn for myself.
I must add that I disabled floating notifications in Textra settings.
What I'd like is to tell Textra to just use the Android system…1 vote -
Accents and special chars supression more clever
This function is nice and it destroys messages even if not needed.
In SMS, we have two sets of accentuated chars :
- à é è ù for example only consume one char. they do not need to be removed (and it can make a big difference in the meaning of a sentence).
- ê ë ç and capital accentuated chars like À consume more chars. they are the ONLY ones which should be removed.
Could this functionality be updated? Right now, I had to disable it because it created confusion with some of my messages.1 vote -
Group messaging
Would be nice if I could choose, when responding to a group text, whether to reply to the original sender only or the entire group. I'm fine with it defaulting to group reply like it does now, I'd just like the option to reply to sender only if you can find a good way to integrate it into the reply screen UI. And I am a paying user, and really like this app! Best texting app available by far!

Paid Ad Free PRO Version
Make a separate, AD FREE, with at least 5 user posted ideas, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY make it a PAID APP!!! And please don't make it an in app purchase upgrade people hate that. Good developers like you deserve to get paid for your work. And I cant even find where to buy you a beer
