  3. Long messages

    The idea of splitting the text messages is a very good idea but after being split, the arrangement and sequence of the splitted parts of the message is changed. It confuses the text recipient.

  8. Send current time with text message

    It would be nice to have the option to send the current time with a message. Sometimes my messages are delayed by the carrier for some reason. It would be nice for the recipient to see when it was originally sent.

  9. First name only for group chat title

    For group chats I think it would be helpful to list only the first names of the people that are in the chat. Right now it lists the first and last name and depending on the names you only see one or two listed in the chat title.

    I just tried Textra for the first time. Overall I like it, but there are a few simple things that would make the experience much better for me. Please consider these items. Thanks.

    • When scrolling the message list, the floating "+" FAB disappears. It is only present when viewing the top of the list. I don't understand why you did that. I want a compose button to remain on the screen at all times. My preference would be for the compose button to be on the top toolbar, but the FAB would be acceptable if it would remain on screen.

  19. Change Advertisement Location

    I completely understand the need for ads in the free version, but is there any way to change the location of where they appear?

    Currently, advertisements display up at the very top of the conversations list. Because they need to load and, therefore, don't appear instantly, I find myself accidentally clicking on them FAR too often.

    The delay in the ad loading and displaying is perfectly timed for it to appear under my thumb during my motion to press the top conversation.

    I truly do it time and time again despite knowing the cause, so I figure that's reason enough…
