  1. Change message text from black to white and vice versa

    In the new 2.35 update, many new colors were added. However, some of the colors change the text color from white to black including the color that I use- it used to be white and is now a black that doesn't fit with the rest of the screen. Thus, I would propose a feature that can independently change the message text color from white to black so people can have even more control over their theme.

  3. Don't pop ads right under my finger a millisecond before it touches the screen!!!

    When I see a new text and open this app, you know exactly when and where my finger is going to touch the screen - it's a predictable and consistent pattern. So when an ad slides into that spot, perfectly timed to show up AFTER I've committed to tapping right there, it feels like evil UI. Don't do evil UI. I don't know if it's intentional but it comes off as sneaky, annoying, and unethical. Your advertiser is paying for a false click, and it erodes my trust and affinity in your product.

  4. Make the color of the icons in the main screen match the colors chosen for each contact.

    I dislike the fact that after texting
    An individual, if I return to the home screen, the individual 's icon returns to the default selection. I would like an option to have the color persist in both screens of textra. Otherwise, I think it's great!

  7. To be able to change the font colour

    I have my colour of text bubble as a light blue and the font colour is not very good. The font colour is a black, I feel it would be better if it were white. So if I am able to change my font colour to a white it would be awesome. Thanks.

  8. Suggestions re customization after latest patch.

    Hi,

    I have a few suggestions. I appreciate the move towards customization; however, I feel there are things that are missing or could be done better.

    • The color picker for the notification icons now has FEWER colors than it did before. Also, it does not have colors that correspond to the bubble colors. I suggest using the new color picker for the notification icons.
    • Accent colors: can only select from a predefined four? Please allow selection of any color.
    • I'm curious why you don't simply use a traditional color picker (of at least a 256-color palette) and…

  10. Sent message time

    Show the time a message was actually sent and not the only the time I pressed send. Sometimes on the subway I send the message and forget abt it only to realize that I didn't send cause the signal cut off, and then it automatically sends when it gets reception. I want to know the time when the message was actually sent.

  12. "Quick Delete" after search for contacts

    allow for the "swipe right" quick delete functionality to be used AFTER you search for contact information... right now I am unable to delete messages from specific contacts after I search for them.

  16. Be able to assign different wallpapers for individual messages

    Although I am a fan of Textra I was wondering if we could get the feature were you can change the wallpaper for EACH individual conversation?? I think if it could be implemented somehow it would make Textra elite against the compition

  17. Compact SMS Messages from contact level

    The Compact SMS Messages option is currently available from general settings, but it would be great to have it from the contact level.

    Sending sms with accents is supported by mobile service provider and devices here in North America as far as I know, but it seems some sms get lost or truncated when sent to other countries. For this reason, I would like to be able to turn this option from the contact level.

  18. Option to order threads

    I'm used to seeing threads being listed with the latest at the top following down - but now I'm seeing threads with messages from today being shown way down the thread list. Not sure if this is a bug or a setting (if its a setting, I can't figure out where it is).

  19. Hold to Record - Can this be moved?!

    Surely there is a better place to put this option rather than where it is. I'm constantly hitting it without wanting to. Have it under the (+) or the ability to turn it off. PLEASE.

  20. Allow to select custom music for notifications

    Currently Textra only allow to select native sounds for notifications. Allowing to select any sound/music added by the user on the device (on the sdcard for example) would be really nice.
