  5. Entry List Media Record

    This idea would be very helpful for people who are wanting to keep pictures deleted for space purposes, and keeping backup time down.

    You (Textra) already show the number of media (pictures) for a contact session by going into that dialogue and going to the "medial" option. Though that is helpful in itself it would be much more convenient if when looking at the list of contacts with text sessions the number of pictures would show up there. Then one could see who has media to be deleted at a glance just by scrolling through the list and not have…

  6. External Storage

    Hello, Would you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give pro users the option to store /utilize External Storage? This app is taking up too much space on internal storage... It will break my heart if this is the reason I leave textra... I am a many years user, but I need the external storage option! Please and thank you!

  7. Separate tab or different theme for dual sim

    It would really useful to have either :
    - separate tabs for conversation from both SIM (to distinguish pro/perso)
    - different theme/colors for conversation from both SIM

    1. From the main screen of all threads,
      search for persons name as a contact and listed first, not most recent conversation with anyone including that persons name as a keyword listed first.

    2. Search within one conversation of a specific keyword.

    So, from the main screen tapping the search bar gives two options...
    1. Global keyword
    2. Contact

    then when tapping a conversation with a contact,
    The search button functions as a keyword search.

  16. Convert SMS to MMS regardless of number of SM segments required

    While roaming on Telcel (Mexico) with a Verizon (US) mobile, it does not appear possible to send SMS, but MMS works reliably.

    The phone receives both SMS and MMS while roaming and on home network.

    A configuration option to add "Always convert SMS to MMS" would help solve this roaming annoyance, although you may want to warn about potential extra charges (not an issue for this phone and rate plan BTW).

    BTW, the root cause is probably IMS related but Verizon's suggested fixes don't work.

    The text above each message showing date and time of sent/received message is very hard to read! Could you enlarge it at least two points? Is even better, give the option to customize it?

  19. Voice Messages

    The support of sending voice through text would be awesome! The feature could include to record, preview, then send the voice message, like a text, instead of send on completion.
    Audio message attachment support would also be nice for sending voice memos from the phone.

  20. Additional step before deleting a thread.

    I inadvertently deleted a thread and once I did, I was unable to get it back. Please add an additional step requesting whether or not you really want to delete the thread, or have it go into a thread trash that could be recovered. Thank you. Love your app!
