  1. Organize conversations into tabs

    Adding groups or tabs for conversations, mainly to differentiate your actual texts from two-factor code texts or other spam/automated messages. A way to have actual conversations/contacts in one place

  2. Pixel 3a Android 12 unable to send text.

    Settings/Apps/Textra/SMS App-Manually select Textra as default SMS app. Selecting this option from within Textra did not work.

    The button to change the sim card is too close to the send button, sometimes we change the the sim card juste before send the text ! it's not ergonomic !

  4. DEFAULT FOLDER SELECTION & SOUND FILES

    It would be helpful to designate a specific folder as thd DEFAULT for photos. (i.e., "GALLERY") as it would simplify attaching an image to the text message. This could be by default designation choice, or by the being able to sort folders in order of user-preference.
    IDEA #2 - Provide access to audio files to allow attachment of sound files like ringtones, etc, stored on the local device.
    IDEA #3 - ALLOW MMS by default for long messages. Not working since most recent update.

  5. Reaction photos (for all)

    Please make it possible to react on mms and photos that is received. Norwegian. but I bet everyone wants that also.

  6. google play not enable required

    now it requires us to enable Google play in order to use app properly, some don't want it enabled due to it automatically update apps even though we switch to do not update..
    pls fix or we look for new app

    • lockable conversations
    • ability to hide/lock specific selections of text in conversation

    • ability to select any font installed on phone for the theme
    • spectrum colour picker (instead of a preset range of hues)
    • toggle showing contact names within text messages in group convos on/off
    • toggle text message reaction glow effects on/off (personally don't like em)
    • set colour or image wallpapers for conversations

  8. Style ring around image

    In the list of messages if a person has an image associated with the contact, that replaces the initials and the customized color for their chat. It would be nice if there was a ring around that photo with the color chosen for the theme of that chat.

  10. change size of landing page

    I would love to be able to adjust the size of the text and bubbles in the main page. The default and only view is too big. Once I click on a message, the second page is a better size. but please make it possible to change the size.

  15. Message timestamps visible for every message

    Timestamps in a chat are intermittent displayed within the chat and it is inconvenient to tap the message and hit info to get this. Please add an option to show timestamps next to or in every message. The size and format for the timestamps that do appear are fine.

  18. Color code Contacts or some other indicator on opening screen..

    Can you make an option where the entire row changes color for a contact that has text messages instead of just making the text slightly more bold? it's hard to see which contacts have new texts messages I need to click on to read and which do not. I am 54 years old. Maybe that's why. But damn I started writing HTML and CSS back in the late 90s. Help. Everything looks same.

    Before you could send a text but choose either from your text app or WhatsApp messenger. Now that button seems to be removed. Please bring it back!

  20. Separate bins for texts with humans and notification sms

    Probably half of my recent threads are 2FA, shipping notifications, party notifications, etc. and the rest are my friends (real humans). I would like to be able to partition my conversations between "Notification messages" and "humans" in such a way that I can read both and be notified of both, but if I want, I can open the app with the former filtered out.
