  1. Add Names to Existing SMS or MMS

    It would be great if I was able to add new people to already existing texts. I realize the new people wouldn't see the previous texts and it might start a new text chain. It is really time consuming when I am in a large text chat with numerous people to have to go back and re-type all of the names to start a new thread just to add a name or two.

  2. Add recipients from drafts

    It's annoying that its not possible to add recipients when you open a draft. If I have to move in and out from a message to copy and paste text and numbers, the option to add recipients only appears when you create a new message. Please fix!

    Make it quick and efficient to run through only unread message instead of hunting them down.

    When starting new conversation it lists favorites. Should show recent conversations and pin conversations as well.

  6. read text messages out loud

    can you please update the app enabling Google Assistant to read text messages out loud

    the idea is to have incoming text messages read to me audibly through my earbuds while I'm at work so I don't have to check my phone

    a bonus feature would be to reply via voice as well but that is likely a bit more complicated than simply receiving audible text messages

    we were looking for an accessibility menu in your app but could not locate one

    we understand that Siri on iPhone already has this capability

  7. Option to move send button location (in the way)

    All the buttons are too close and it's too easy to send a message before you have finished typing it. Having the option to move the button to a different part of the screen would great. Thank you

    SMS texting is not going to get any better anymore. Would like to see the Textra team switching to secure messaging or some hybrid sms-e2ee.

    Update strips date/time/person from the convo when send as email. Aaaacccck! The main reason I chose Textra was for this feature (so I could document work conversations)... Not helpful at all if you can't see who said what and when!

  13. RCS Chat

    I think it's high time to add RCS feature like with Google's Messages. So, it can communicate with other android users that has RCS chat enabled, like with Samsung and Huawei that has RCS features with their SMS app.

    It's like iMessage of iPhone.

    Allow for editing in group chat say you want to add another person. Allow it to be done not have to start all over again with who's in the group chat.

    This idea is similar to the Gmail app for example. You read a message and want to answer later, you mark it as unread so that the notification reminds you to come back

  20. Text Over Lock Screen

    an option should be to have the text pop when received over lock screen, Message+ uses this and it works well.
