  1. Speak content

    This app is really great at keeping things simple and easy for use. One thing that I highly recommend for the app is to be able to read content or add a "speak content" whenever you hold down on the message bubble in the thread. In case if one has their eyes preoccupied on something else or is multi-tasking, but they already have the app open. It would be a great convenience.

  2. Speak content

    This app is really great at keeping things simple and easy for use.   3. Auto block texts with key words

    Ability to automatically block texts with key words. And the ability to pick those key words. I think this would help with blocking spam texts.

  5. Textra keeps closing

    VERY IMPORTANT: Google are rolling out (most likely a mistake) a change which causes many apps to crash, including Gmail and Textra. It's being reported all over social media.

    So, if Textra is crashing for you, open the Play Store app, search for "Android System WebView" and tap Uninstall. This will force your phone to use the previous WebView version which does not cause the crashing.

    OR if the above is not present, do Android Settings > Apps > Chrome > Uninstall Updates.

    For the sound it plays when I send a text, it would be really cool if i could use audio files that I have on my phone for the sound

  8. Add/remove people from group chats

    You should add the option to add or remove people from group chats. This would be greatly beneficial when people have a change in phone number but you don't want to start a new group chat.

  9. Seasonal Notification Icons

    Wouldn't it be great if we had seasonal Notification icons? Like a 🎄, ⛄, or a cross for Christmas? A 🎃, witch, 👻, vampire for Halloween? 🐰 or Cross for Easter? There's more of course but couldn't fit them all.

    1 Request you to feature a pop up text when incoming. Especially for Otp's etc.
    2 Also make sure your blocking feature actually does work.
    3 Lastly if u can have a finger print lock.
    Rest is just spot on.

  17. More Fonts!

    Font selection is dismal. Personally, I'm so totally sick of and tired of any and all 'sans' style fonts on all my apps, from every screen on most my devices. I want... Something else. Show me fancy, or bold, or striking, decorative, emotional, something... SERIF. Calligraphic. Brushed. Hand-written. Fck professional and clean looking.
    Or give us an option to import our own... Like Chomp. Better yet, import our own font PER conversation.
    I fully realize I speak for a slim minority of Android users, but sometimes, SANS fonts just don't cut it.

  19. Expand text size.

    I would love to see you add pinch to expand to the message area. sometimes it would be nice to blow up the texts so you can see them and then shrink them back down without having to change it in the settings and leave it

  20. Autoreply

    With most states having restrictions on handheld devices while driving, it would be helpful to have an auto reply function easily available to Textra users. My car allows hands free phone use, but I get more texts than phone calls.
