  1. Naming Conversations

    It would be very helpful to have the option to display a user-input name for a conversation (instead of - or in addition to the list of participants).
    (currently, its very easy to confuse a 1-on-1 chat with a group chat, where the first person's name is long. I have multiple 1-on-1 threads with people in different chat groups. I'm positive others do as well).

  2. Notifications for Contacts only (silent Spam)

    Have an option to not receive notifications (sound or vibrate) for numbers that are not in your contacts (ie, SPAM). Any text from non-contacts would still be received (in case it's something legitimate and wanted) but would be silent. Numbers that are in user's contact list would get regular sound/vibrate notifications.

  3. block entire area codes

    We can block individual numbers, but I know you can also make it so we can block entire area codes AND allow whitewashed #s from those area codes. PLEASE DO SO.

  7. Bug fix for messages disappearing

    Suddenly, while typing messages the message disappears and the chat closes. Very annoying. I finally sent this after perhaps a dozen such incidents.

  8. option to make 'delivered' a small checkmark instead

    currently the delivered thing makes bubble text shapes look weird. I think a checkmark to the side will alleviate that.

    For me when I picked a messaging app it was all about the theming. Of course the app itself had to have great functionality and meet my needs, which Textra does beautifully. So it's a combination of the both, theme and functionality. I have already suggested a Color Picker. I also think the ability to add wallpapers or images for backgrounds would be great. Just to add a little bit more customization

  12. Perfect Color

    Change the preset color options to a color picker/generator for perfect theming. You guys already offer quite a variety of colors to choose from, which I'm thankful for. It's great. But I use Substratum and it has a Color Picker (on the light version of the app) so you can choose literally any color combination you like. So sometimes the colors just dont quite match up. I realize it may sound trivial or insignificant but sometimes it may be a deal breaker. Especially when I cant theme Textra with Substratum. There are a few that have Textra themed but not…

  13. Custom Background

    This app would be perfect if we could customize the look further by being able to change the background of each conversation and list view. The light and dark modes are boring. Samsung's Message app allows this however it is not as powerful as this app. It would be great to customize the color or choose an image from our gallery.

    it would be nice if there is a way to backup your settings for the app, and be able to save and share that file in order to set up text Dara exactly the same when you get a new phone

  15. confirmation on deletion should be a pop-up kinda confirmation box.

    While trying to delete a message from textra theire should be a confirmation box appearing on the screen. your icon is very tiny and confusing.

    Textra doesn't allow one to copy any email id, numbers or partial or full text content. This is problematic at times of need.

  18. Web/PC Client

    Please make it so we can send/read texts on our PCs. Would absolutely love this to be a thing since Google Messages has been buggy as heck lately. I see people have been asking for ages and no response. Might as well throw my feedback into the loop.
