  2. Automatically resend failed messages due to lack of signal

    As someone who rides the NYC subway, I will periodically lose signal at points of my commute. I may randomly receive text messages as I pass by a station, but by the time I write a reply I have already lost my signal again. If I try to send a message, eventually it will fail due to no signal. It would be great if my phone could either know about my signal state, and send the message when I reconnect to my network, or if I could configure some sort of timed retry (retry failed message after, say, 5 minutes,…

    Both Messenger and WhatsApp have the ability to swipe and reply to a specific message. That would be a great feature to have available in Textra, as well.

  5. Option to prevent sending MMS messages without changing APN

    I'd find this useful as my carrier charges for MMS messages and I can't change my default APN as it's locked

  7. Don't like how the previous text goes up one line at time while tying a response.

    From the 4.17 update, I don't like how the previous text goes up one line at time while tying a response. It's distracting. I liked it better how it was. (The previous text wouldn't go up until you Sent the text your working on). Then it would all move up at once. Instead of inching along one line at a time as you type.

  8. Message Delay Increments

    Instead if full second message delay increments, allow the user to have control down to the 1/4 of the second. Such as 1.5 seconds or .75 seconds. This is helpful for users who are using lower second delays.

    I don't like it because it's not what my Lord Jesus would like to see, and I feel it is wrong, Exspecily the Pongraph pictures.

  10. Some carriers require a prefix to all messages for delivery reports

    O2 and GiffGaff in the UK require a prefix on any SMS that you wish to get delivery reports for. Please support a custom prefix that will automatically be added to any sent message.
    The prefix in this instance is *0# and a space.

  14. ignore do not disturb feature

    I'm not sure if I'm just missing it, but a feature where I could allow certain contacts to still give notifications on do not disturb or when the phone is on silent would be cool. This is a thing on the iphone but I cant remember what it was called for the life of me, and I know "ignore do not disturb" is a feature already on the stock samsung messager and most other ones. That would be really useful (:

    Go to settings in your phone settings (not the Tetra app). Type in 'pop up'. Then press 'smart pop-up view'. Uncheck it for Textra.

  17. this is the 21st century. add other members to an existing group.

    How hard can it be, for crying out loud, to add other members to an existing group message? Nobody seems to be able to do it. It would instantly be the top group messaging app available.

    This suggestion / request is about as simple as it gets:
    I love the app, but in terms of how many unique symbols we can assign to separate contacts, your selection is very, very limited, surprisingly.

    Pleeeeaaaase, give us at least another 15-20 choices for symbols. Past those 20 symbols, a great idea would be to just add simply the option to assign an uppercase letter as a notification symbol. That's an extra 26 right there. The symbols are ultimately way more important to me, but it'd be great to have even more options.
