backup/retrieve pictures in messages across devices
Have the option of signing in so that you can restore pics along with the texts when moving across devices.. only texts are transferred at the moment.

Notifications triggered by keywords
This option would allow users to set keywords words found within the message body to trigger notifications. Could be global or contact specific.
Helpful for anyone receiving group or push out alert messages from a server. Would allow to only be notified of messages the user deems as a priority from the servers.
Example a user receives a SMS messages updates from their work or school. The user wants to be notified of snow closures. The user could input "snow" as the trigger word which would cause the notification rather than the sender.

Date format different from locale
Can the date format by the same as the phone or to set it myself? The M/dd/yy is not the standard on every country and ia nor convenient

Turn off vibrate when sound on
I know you can select android only and get a slight vibrate but you should be able to turn vibrate off when sound is on and use one of the custom or longer vibration patterns.

Night Mode
You can turn on night mode and it turns into a black theme instead of white so it's not a strain on your eyes at night. Also there should be a automatic option where it turns on from around 7pm until 6am.

Auto Forward to another number or email
I have 2 lines and sometimes people text me to less used line. If be nice to have the option of forwarding my texts to my main phone or even my email, so I don't miss them. Even better if I could choose which contacts to forward.

Fix add contacts on android pie
Please fix the issue with android pie. Since the upgrade the add new contact function takes me to contacts with the option to create new contact like it used to within the contacts app that comes with android pie. It's just asking me to select an existing contract to update a phone number. I want to add a new contact. The workaround is to copy the phone number and manually add the contact through the contact app that comes with pie and paste the number in. Using Samsung galaxy s9.

don't rotate pictures
most frustrating feature is that my pictures get rotated in a manner such that it makes it hard to read.
for example, I wanna take a portrait picture of a a paper. and when I hit send it rotates to landscape

MMS Notifications/MMS sent
I have seen a few others who have mentioned this but has not yet been implemented in an upgrade. It would be great for there to be a Notification like the Samsung default messaging app that lets you know that someone had sent you an MMS while you're on Wifi and for you to "download the file" as opposed to the MMS failed due to timeout notification that is sent by textra as it doesn't show or indicate which conversation it is coming from. Vcard options
Have the ability to open a vcard and copy the phone number or email then have the option to save the vcard to contacts. Some vcards I receive are only a one time use and I don't want to have to save it to my contacts then have to go back and delete it afterwards.

message search
my idea is to have a way to search through a certain contacts messages for keywords... for instance i am looking for a previous message about my passport in a conversation with my mom and the only way to do it is to physically look through all our messages

Decide which groups to auto save pictures.
In Google photos, I can choose to auto save pictures to my Google drive. Textra currently saves all pictures to a single folder. if I could choose between two folders for each conversation, then I could allows my pictures from my wife to auto save, but the memes from coworkers wouldn't.
