notification sound
please add a function to be able to select through the app, a ringtone (mp3) file instead or as well as accessing the phone notification sounds. simply because in my shiny new Samsung s9 you can't create and install custom bloody notifications. they don't' have the option.

Email Contacts se Email Addresses in Settings
Email addresses are not available if Mobile Contacts Only is disabled. Create a separate setting to include email addresses or make it so email addresses are included when Mobile Contacts Only is disabled.

Give feedback on inappropriate or offensive ads
Something like the AdChoices pop-up to be able to give feedback on a particular ad would be good. Most ads are fine and some are even interesting, but there are some I definitely don't care to see again!

Gif/pic preview in list of messages
I switched to this app from Android Messenger because there is no way to forward multiple messages at the same time. I noticed that gifs and photos don't show as a preview/thumbnail in the list of messages. It just says "you sent a gif image". I miss this!

Oreo 8.0 custom contact notifications don't need zedege
I just bought the paid version of textra in hopes of setting custom ringtones for contact messages. not realizing the Oreo 8.0 got rid of the text message custom ring tone in the contact screen. If you wish to add custom ringtones to your built in list you will need to follow the directions I found here......http://visihow.com/Customize_Notification_Sounds_on_Android_Oreo

Timeout of notification
Can you add a setting that would allow us to change the notification timeout? I would like to extend how long Textra displays a new text message on my always on display.
