Option to input a phone number to use by choice. Some people don't have Sims and use Wi-Fi based phone numbers
There should be a way to change the phone number extra uses, right now it is by default the number on the sim, but some people use wifi based phone numbers like myself sometimes, I would like to use my wifi number from things like atextme or textplus phone number, on textra

it shows in group message to whom it isn't sent to.
It does not show in the group messages to whom it isn't sent to. It just fails.

ability to see all photos and videos in thred when you click on the contact photo in a thread
So you know how when you're in a message thread you see the contact photo up in the upper right hand corner and when you click on it you see a button to go to their contact and you can see their phone number and all that jazz? But what if it have you the ability to also see all the MMS sent in that thread, separate from the SMS. Like you're looking for a specific picture, instead of scrolling till you see the photo, make it easier to find.

Block certain MMS group chats
Since group chats can get spammy, i have to turn off vibration which means i might miss important texts. Option to either block certain group chat notifications or configure them to not use vibration would be nice.

Sending contact phone number as text should not have parentheses
When sending a contact as text, the phone number should not be surrounded by parentheses. Phones handle 10 digits in a row better

The quick reply should be faster and easy to use instead of the big square that pops up make something like ios

Stop the auto muting of music services when receiving or sending message.
When playing music services (soundcloud.com, etc.) music volume is muted for notification sound. When multiple messages come in the music doesn't return to listening volume but stays at an inaudible level. I'd like to be able to automatically disable message notification sounds while listening to a music service with a menu option...please.

Ability to select contact's phone #
On HTC's stock messaging app you can click on the person's name at the top of the text and it will provide a dropdown of all phone numbers associated with that contact. It allows you to tap which one you would like. Perfect for contacts with a home and work cell.

Show sent time
Show us the sent time for a message someone sends us so that if the phone is off or in airplane mode we know when they sent the message.

Having favorited contacts's messages pinned at the top of your conversation
Or being able to manually select such contacts. This would be very helpful because work messages are very important, and can easily get lost in a heavy flow of texts.
