  3. Increase the size of contact icons both in the message thread catalog and when you select a thread

    Make the icon for contact photos (if the contact has one) larger. Closer to that of Hangouts. There is quite a bit of wasted space. If the contact does not have an assigned photo and initials are set, randomly change the color of the contact icon circle like in Google's People app.

  5. Display only the latest text in quick reply

    8sms has the neat feature of only showing the latest message from the sender once the user presses reply from the notification drawer. The current setup makes it difficult to see the latest message if it's quite lengthy. Often, I have to bring down the keyboard to see the message. Adding this would definitely make this app 5/5

  6. Filter outgoing texts based on content

    I would love to have the ability to set a list of words that I don't want to sent to certain contacts. The app would prompt something like "are you sure you want to send a text with the word s*** in it to (your boss, parents, etc)?" Would have saved me a few times haha

  13. Ensure that when a text is opened in quick reply without unlocking the phone, that it does not disable the screen time-out. (HTC One (M8)

    When I receive a text and tap on the notification without unlocking the phone, the quick reply screen stays open and overrides the backlight timeout. phone screen will stay on until the phone is unlocked or the power button is tapped.
