    Rather than just permanently delete messages, it would be fantastic if you could archive messages. This was one of the features in Google Hangouts that I used the most and found incredibly helpful.

    Sometimes you want to clean up your inbox so you don't have hundreds of conversations floating around in it that you have to scroll through, but you don't necessarily want to lose some conversations forever by deleting them.   2. Privacy Locking Option.

    Add some lock options like pattern lock, number lock etc. It'll be great if i can lock messages from a specific user :)

    It would be awesome if when you long-press on a message, you can mark it as unread.

    In my case this is useful because that way It reminds me that this specific message is important.

  4. LED options please. Blink-rate/timing, custom colors

    Similar to competitor apps (8sms, Hangouts) I'd love the ability to change the blink-rate. Currently it is way too fast and annoys me. I prefer the slow blink of Hangouts and 8sms.

    I've seen this before but, it would be great to have the ability to backup your Textra settings and customization. It's a hassle to have to do that each time.

  9. Tells you if someone read or is replying to your text

    This would be handy because I will know if my friend has read the text yet and is too busy to reply currently. It will also be nice to see if my friend is replying so I can wait for him message before I send mine.

  10. TextraWeb (web interface for Textra)

    Basically, something very close to WhatsApp Web; a web interface that locally (not cloud based) connects to the phone and allows messaging & interaction from a browser UI.

    Right now, there is a very small subset of services that do "online texting" - MightyText and Pushbullet are the major two players. DeskSMS used to be popular, but isn't supported by the developer and has largely been removed from the Play Store. Today, MightyText put a nail in their own coffin by limiting free accounts to 500 messages per month, which will make most serious free-tier users leave or look elsewhere.

    Google Messenger like RCS features to Textra ex you can see when the other part is typing, etc.

    This Sms app should have private box and a password for it to be able to unlock it. I suggest 4-12 numbers for the password because sometimes if the password is for 4numbers only, it is easy for other people to guess my password. I prefer 4 or more.

    At least on my phone (galaxy s4), I can't use this app to multi task, like texting and watching YouTube videos at the same time. This would be a nice feature

    There are a number of very good apps that focus specifically on backup and restore of messages. We recommend and use SMS Backup & Restore.

    No point us re-inventing the wheel and losing focus on the core aspects of Textra.

    You could also make it an option in settings to choose
