delay send is so close to awesome
it doesn't matter much if the delay send is 5 seconds or 6 and 1 or 2 seconds isn't enough time to be useful anyway. what would be really nice is to be able to set it to 30 or 60 seconds or even longer, with a button to skip the delay and send now, so that if you're going back and forth with someone you don't have to wait to reply. you should be able to send multiple messages each with their own delay timer and send now button.

Name and photo centralized when in conversation
Similar to that of iOS. I think it looks better if the photo and name of the person you are texting is centered at the top instead of being at the left side.

Messed up the delayed send
This last version puts a "send now" button exactly where the "stop sending" button was. That's a really bad idea - I guarantee you every single user is accidentally sending texts now. Listen to your UX people.

Privacy, show contact option
Works properly and hides the contact name from from the main notification but if you pull down again to reply it shows the contact name beside the reply to. It should be hidden from there as well to maintain privacy.

Textra could you add 2 things. 1. add an option to see when the receiver reads the text like WhatsApp. 2. add an option to lock an entire message conversation instead of just individual text

MMS SUPPORT THROUGH WIFI
MMS does not work through WiFi on my phone, I'm very cheap so I don't have a plan with data (Metro PCS $25/plan only has SMS/Text) but MMS works with WiFi for the default messaging app, please let's make it work in this app! This app is like no other! I love it , but I can't send/receive MMS , thus missing out on pictures and group messages! ):

Date format in messages view
Dates are shown as mm/dd/yy, a format used only in the US. Elsewhere it's either dd/mm/yyyy or yyyy-mm-dd.
Why not just pick user setting, so that dates looks normal?1 vote -

Turn off notifications of follow-up texts from a recipient
It would be nice to have an option that allows you to prevent the phone from notifying you 4 separate times in under 4 seconds when somebody decides to chop up a text into parts. An example would be when someone has a typo in the first text and immediately sends you a correction. The phone notifies you twice. instead, create an option that only notifies you for the first text sent after you had checked the conversation. All proceeding texts you receive before checking the conversation will be silent.
