  1. auto theme color from palette and random

    the auto color should create more contrasting selections. for example in a family group chat, all contacts last name starts with the same letter D, so all their auto color is the same. either use first name or cycle through a user selected palette.

  2. group noncontact messages into separate section

    it would be awesome to separate alerts, otp, notications into a separate section so that, 1. they can the mass deleted, 2. they are separate from people/contacts I have conversations with.

    blacklist should allow manual input of any cell number without having to recieve a text to blacklist.

  7. Don't dismiss notification automatically when you reply from notification tray

    Just like how Android Message app works. You reply a text from notification tray, but the it hitting the reply button will not dismiss the notice. So that you can keep on with the context. Swipe away when you're finally done!

    In the conversation list, I would like the ability to display contact initials only, instead of full names. Would be especially helpful in group text messages.

  9. customize swipe down to close keyboard

    I love Textra but unlike just about every other texting app I've used it's difficult to close the keyboard by swiping down. It seems it only works if I really swipe down fast and far but all I want to do is have the keyboard close everytime I swipe down to read more of the conversation... I wish this was a customizable setting where we could have it always close the keyboard with any amount of downward swipe on the conversation... as it is I have to swipe down and scroll really far back to get to the bottom of…

  13. Quick Settings Tile

    Many applications have their own quick Settings tiles for quick toggling of features, for example spotify's offline mode toggle tile. I'd like to suggest that textra implement this for quick composure as an alternative to the permanent notification used currently for this feature. It would allow users to use this feature without unnecessary notification shade clutter.

  16. Select and copy text

    Give users the option to copy parts of a message and not just all of it. When it's a number, users should see options to copy or call. I feel the system shouldn't by default take me to the dailer.

  17. I can write sms in Vietnamse but can't read Vietnamse in SMS. Let fix it, please.

    When i send a sms to friends. I just wrote in Vietnamse and thay can read it all. But when they send back to me in Vietnamse and i can not read it. Can you fix it? Thanks

  18. Fix error with group texting

    Textra is currently dropping members of my group. I have a group of 13 members. When I try to send a message to them, only 9 people show up. I didn't expect to have to recheck the list (why should I?) and 4 people didn't receive important notifications for months.

  19. screen turning on when receiving text messages

    it's a really simple thing, out of all third party text messaging apps that i've used. i always find myself reverting back to the stock messenger app on my phone just because my screen comes on when i receive a text message. i feel that it helps tremendously for discerning what type of message you get if you have multiple social media profiles receiving messages.
