  1. auto saving pictures but not gifs

    I really like the idea of saving pictures automatically, but gifs need to be excluded from that option. they are filling my gallery up like spam

  2. sync messages from other apps.

    If I'm using Textra then change the default app back to the standard Samsung app it doesn't collect those messages

    the heads up notification when locked option doesn't appear to be there anymore, just when unlocked. bring back!

  4. Create a web app to send messages

    As the title says, a web service like https://messages.google.com
    that uses Textra as main messaging app (and reuses the phone preferences, like chat color, emoji pack, ...).

  5. Scheduled Messages showing Creation date/time NOT Scheduled date/time

    Scheduled messages in the message thread display the time and date they were created, NOT the time they are scheduled to go out. This is confusing as there is no easy way to verify when the message is scheduled to send after creating it.

    It would be much more helpful if the scheduled time was displayed in the message thread along the clock icon INSTEAD of the date and time the message was created.

  6. have a favourites column

    it would be cool to add a favourite column at the top of the message screen when you want to compose a message In textra select a favourite to jump into the conversation instead of having to compose a message first

  8. More Android P like look

    I love this app and features but I think making the quick reply bubble more circular similar to Android P notifications would be awesome. Also think a more circular like bubble would go great where you input text much like Android messages would be a great. One major issue I have as well is not having the option to turn on contact pics next to their messages instead of just on top of message.

  11. auto theme color from palette and random

    the auto color should create more contrasting selections. for example in a family group chat, all contacts last name starts with the same letter D, so all their auto color is the same. either use first name or cycle through a user selected palette.

  12. group noncontact messages into separate section

    it would be awesome to separate alerts, otp, notications into a separate section so that, 1. they can the mass deleted, 2. they are separate from people/contacts I have conversations with.

    blacklist should allow manual input of any cell number without having to recieve a text to blacklist.

  17. Don't dismiss notification automatically when you reply from notification tray

    Just like how Android Message app works. You reply a text from notification tray, but the it hitting the reply button will not dismiss the notice. So that you can keep on with the context. Swipe away when you're finally done!

  19. customize swipe down to close keyboard

    I love Textra but unlike just about every other texting app I've used it's difficult to close the keyboard by swiping down. It seems it only works if I really swipe down fast and far but all I want to do is have the keyboard close everytime I swipe down to read more of the conversation... I wish this was a customizable setting where we could have it always close the keyboard with any amount of downward swipe on the conversation... as it is I have to swipe down and scroll really far back to get to the bottom of…
