timer for mute button
if there was a function to just mute a conversation for various lengths of time, that would help with getting back to the conversation when needed. instead of forgetting to un mute it.

my colors sometimes look great in dark mode but weird in light mode (and vice versa) it'd be nice to choose different colors for both

MMS Carrier Limits
Add additional options to carrier limits under MMS. For example, Verizon allows 1.2MB for photos and 3.5MB for videos with a possible 300-600kb additional, likewise they offer over 100MB limits over wi-fi with their messaging app. The limit options currently listed in this app are insufficient. The highest options are 2MB or No Limit. I think the options should be expanded, or better yet figure out carrier limits and make the specific carrier limits available as options.

export import block list
With every new phone I have to go through this dance of blocking lots of unwanted text messages. you would be so very helpful to be able to export my block list from my old phone and import to my new phone or provide the same block list to someone else that they can import. like a family member.

option to send audio messages
what do you think guys think about adding the option to send a voice note? I can receive audio messages but I was surprised when I found out I couldn't send one. I think it'd be a great addition to this app.

Color code SIM1 and SIM2 icons
*** PLEASE *** color-code SIM1 and SIM2 icons to make it easier to differentiate! This has caused me enough aggravation to consider other messaging apps. I have been requesting this for years! This is a small change that makes a BIG difference in usability!

Sandboxing of suspected spam
I like the idea of auto blocking people, not in my contacts. But what if those texts were put in a folder much like spam on email for us to verify? That way we could add someone new to our contacts or confirm it as spam.

pinch changes font size& reformat
Pinching wouldn't zoom; instead it would enlarge or reduce the font size, and then reformat the message with the new font size.
I think Samsung phones do this. My wife needs it because of vision problems.

signature Formatting
I love the signature option. the fact that its individual signatures by contact is an amazing feature I adore. bear with me as I explain what I hope to see for the formatting of the signature.
when I type out a message and hit send, it automatically inserts the signature one space after the last character i typed in the message. stop this damn icon
since a few days, the textra system is going wrong. every time I get a message, the round icon is hanging on the display. it is not possible to turn it off.
now I will deactivate textra.
