  1. react to messages and pictures

    It would be nice if you all could expand the emoji reactions to text msgs and allow users to react to pictures, like the Google Messager stock app that comes on android phones.

  3. chat vs bulk

    The ability to change a group message to bulk or chat as you create the group message. I want my default to be chat, but when I want to send a bulk message, I have to change the default setting, create the group message, then change my default back.

    It's great you can toggle this once the group chat is started, but would be amazing to be able to toggle this with the first message of the group as it's being created.

  4. Text list window size

    Seems like the text list takes up a lot of space. Especially if there's a few pinned texts, it's hard to see others on the list.

  5. Failed Messages

    Occasionally I send large images and it may fail. If I don't enter the recipient's message window, I will never know it failed.
    What would be nice is an indicator on the main screen, an indicator that shows the message for that recipient.
    Also a notification icon popping up in the notification bar indicating a failure.

    We also need a way to cancel a message that is taking too long to send message.

  6. Bulk mode in Group Messages

    When you are using Bulk Group Messages, we need a way to adjust the time between each message in milliseconds. This way if I'm sending out to 10 people, it waits x amount of milliseconds before it tries to send to the next person. I'm not sure if it should be after the send or after each message's send is complete.

    The new way that we have to select photos to add to a text is a bit of a hassle and was easier the original way. Just curious why it changed?

  8. Link Preview Separation in Messages

    Dear Textra Team,

    I would like to request a feature enhancement regarding link previews.

    It would be greatly appreciated if you could separate the link preview from the actual text message.

    For example, similar to Apple and Google Messages, having the text message displayed normally, with the link preview appearing directly underneath (almost touching but not overlapping) would improve readability and user experience significantly.

  10. text messaging notification problem

    If I go to my phone settings and change my notification sound to be certain sound then I open up extra messages and change my text notification to a different sound, why does it go and change all my notifications to the same notification instead of just the text message notification. Help!!!

    Currently, the search feature is only for all chats, but most messaging apps you can search in "Mom" for "password" and not every chat ever.

    Accurately compressed image quality and video as images recieved have been (1/4 resolution) and video arrived as a still image and an audio file. (recieved from iphone as jpeg and mp4 respectively)

  20. Split screen view for foldable phones

    Hey, I'm new to Textra so maybe this capability is already available, but it would be awesome if the app would be optimized for foldable phones. Something like contacts on the left side and conversations on the right side would add a lot to the UE! Loving the app nonetheless, much appreciated!
