  6. photo chooser still awful

    the July 10 2024 / version 4.75 update still does not fix the photo picker. we still have to tap individual tiny circles instead of anywhere on the photo thumbnail. and now the only way to not have to click "choose" is if we are immediately sending the picture. what if I want to type, schedule message, etc.? you make us have to tap the tiny circle and then tap "choose." WHY??? this is so much worse for people with disabilities. and it is frankly clunky and annoying. please revert to 1 tap to choose and long press to preview.

  8. Smartwatch App

    An actual app for Samsung smart watches would be great, not just notifications. With Samsung and other messaging apps leaving this would be the perfect time for you to take over. Those who have a smartwatch know that you need the same app for each device for it to work (because you need both apps to be the default ones on each device). I get that you have a notification feature on the watch but it's not the same. Most of us are going to be stuck with Google Messages which is terrible compared to Textra. I don't care about…

  11. Have a way to refer back to messages

    It would be nice to type a few words and it take you back to the messages with those words, like Facebook Messenger has. My mom passed away and there are text messages between me and my son that I don't want to lose, instead of just locking them, which doesn't do much good.

  12. Add more emojies for received messages

    Give us more options for quick responses to received messages. The ones you offer do nothing. A heart ♥️ is the only one worth having. You need one for a smile ☺️, cry 😢, sad 😔 heart broken 💔 laugh 😂 etc. I think you get the point.

    There are no directions on how to use Keep. It doesn't make much sense to have an option that we truly dont know how to use. Also how do we make them private?

    add a feature when you change your phone you are able to back up Messages from your old phone and once you get new phone you are able to restore them.

  19. Battery Optimization

    i just noticed Android adds the stock SMS app to the whitelist in the new Doze battery optimizations feature. I would assume and think Textra should be included there as well.
    Why not add an alert box that informs the user to do this and brings them to the settings?
