  5. groups or folders?

    It would be nice to be able to create a group or folders that would hold texts that have a common theme, such as family or work or bicycling buddiess

    That would make it easier to find certain groups of people

  6. Send full res Photos and Videos

    The app Next Messages allows sending full resolution images and videos through a direct link where they upload it to their hosted website and allow people to view and download it for a certain amount of days.

    I like your app better overall for simplicity but that feature should be here as it's amazing.

    At the very least why not have a Google drive option or other cloud service options to send full res photos or videos that can't compress into an mms.

    Please consider any alternative then us needing to use a different app to send files uncompressed.

  7. Option to change text color in conversations

    We can change the bubble colors, however half the colors are very difficult. As the white text blends into the bubble. Pleas add an option to change the text color for conversations.

    100 Earth, is it not an option to put the unread messages? Set the top of the list? Is insane to me. Thanks get lost buried

  9. Make quick reply emoji list customizable

    It would be great if the user has more control over which emojis are shown in the quick-reply emoji list. For instance, I would like to be able to add the 💯 and 😥 emojis and remove a couple I never use. Thanks.

  10. Again, more Customization options...

    Even some more simple options, such as additional font options, gradient options, and even some new and additional sound options for stuff like sending, receiving and any other sounds having to do with the app WUD be really great too! Thx!

  13. categories please.

    I use my phone for everything. My job, my business, and personal. it would be great to be able to assign Contacts to there respective category. This is the ONLY reason I don't use Textra. I love this app but it's hard to find my contractor when my sister and brother keeps send messages. please consider this.

  14. customize swipe left and right

    please let me change or turn off the swipe left to delete an entire conversation with a person. I don't want to accidentally delete all the texts I have with a person forever and I have accidentally done it before. please.

    why, oh why.. can i only mark messeges as "unread" from the preview? and not from the "main-app"
    And why not put a reminder alarm for really importent things? As a reminder for whats in the message.

  18. trash recovery

    your excuses for not creating a trash folder are poor and disappointing. if you can recovery text for 20 seconds then it can be moved to a folder for recovery. a scheduled backup doesn't help if you delete right after receiving by mistake or just want to review your deleted. looking elsewhere for an app after all these years is sad

  20. When deleting messages from Textra they should also be deleted from the stock messaging app.

    I've noticed that when deleting messages in Textra they don't get deleted from the default Android messaging app. It would be great if there was an option for users to toggle that when messages are deleted they will be deleted from both databases.

    This idea could also tie into other people's ideas for automatically deleting messages after X number of days (to help keep both database size down) as well as the requests for an undelete (recover message) which could retrieve deleted messages only if they don't have "delete from both databases" enabled.
