  3. Address identification

    This is a really basic feature that most SMS apps have, but Textra doesn't- identifying addresses in messages and creating a link to a maps app. This is something that should really be here, and shouldn't be that hard to do since everything else has it

    customization of the round icon that has contacts initials in it, for example like when you install a theme how it changes all the overlays as a whole....
    I really like this app so far you guys done a great job.....

  5. Protect conversation from deletion

    Basically like locking a single text so it never gets deleted, but for a whole conversation. This way it would require you to "unlock" the conversation before you could delete it but still allow you to continue the conversation.

    I'd love to see black navigation bars on your app when using Samsung Galaxy devices. the white clashes very hard with any dark themes (which are the best ones 😉).

  7. Copy and Paste Editing

    On a recent update the ability to copy only a portion of text instead of the entire text was removed.
    This causes a problem when a 2 step verification code is sent to my device because the message will usually contain other words that are not part of the code, and all I really want to copy is the only part of the message that matters. It also makes forwarding messages cumbersome when I have to delete the part of a message that is not relevant to the next receipient. PLEASE bring this functionality back!!!

  8. Stop trying to contact Facebook when paid and ad-free!

    Please, please, please stop trying to reach out to Facebook's ad and data gathering servers (edge-star-shv-01-lga3.facebook.com) when the user has paid for and chooses to remain ad-free.

    What business does Textra have trying to talk to Facebook anyway?

    My device has ABSOLUTELY ZERO Facebook apps, services or social connections onboard, and Textra attempts to reach out to Facebook (for what?!) every 3 minutes, around the clock.

    Not only does this prevent the device's CPU from powering down and entering deep sleep states, unnecessarily draining the battery, but it also opens up potential security issues with data over-reach.

  9. Sim Card selector

    Would it be possible to move the sim card selector away from the send button? I've switched sims too many times while trying to press the send button. Or make it like chomp sms where you have hold the button for a few seconds before it changes.

  12. Send notification sound

    You have the option to have a send notification sound when you send a text message however there is not where to change what that sound is. Can there be a way to change the send notification sound rather then just being able to turn it on and off

  13. How to Clear Pictures to free up storage ?

    HI. My Textra data is about 3 gig of space now. How can i wipe out all of the photo and pictures sent ? Where is the data stored at that i can go in and just blow away all of the attached photos ? I am assuming that if i text a 50K photo to 10 different people, that now takes up 500 k of storage. I want to keep the conversations, but do not need the thousands of images i have sent out saved (duplicated) in textra. Or do i really have to manually scroll through hundreds of…

  16. Crop Photos within Textra

    One of the stock messaging apps I've used let me crop pictures before sending them from within the app. It was about the only redeeming features of that app. When an update took that feature away there was no reason to keep it, so I went hunting and found Textra. I still miss that function and wish I could have it back.
