  1. Individual notification icons

    Love the new icons in place of the white message. Would be nice to be able to give these icons to individual contacts and not be a one for all.

  2. Night Mode

    It seems that the night mode is a little off. One day I'll have it start at 10pm and the next it randomly starts at 5pm. I thought maybe it changed with the time shift but it doesn't do it every day. Even so a better option would be to let us pick the time frame for which it goes into night mode. Every one has different schedules and it would be great to set the parameters for when it goes dark to our specific ones. Thanks

  3. Spam Filter based on content

    You can include a spam inbox feature. Take permission from users to use the data from the messages which come from blacklisted numbers. Apply machine learning algorithm to find a prediction function that can filter spam messages. Such messages shouldn't pop on screen rather only show as unread when user opens Textra app. You can also add a "confirm" feature on the spam inbox where if user selects it as confirmed spam then that number should be blocked altogether to be delivered in inbox.

  9. Make Textra work with new Google rules and limitations

    Google has announced a new Play Store policy meant to prevent intrusive Android apps from collecting call log and SMS information from users' devices.

    I would like to Textra maintained the status quo acording to new restrictions and rules.

  11. Message reactions support

    Allow support of text reactions, whenever a friend uses their apple phone to react to one of my messages it send back something dumb such as: Liked "________". It was really confusing the first time it happened and now it's just annoying.

  12. Increase Repeat Notifications Intervals

    Repeat notifications and fantastic, but 2 minute intervals are too short for some people.
    It would be great if we could customize the interval duration.

  14. Write Message before Adding Contact

    I'd like the ability to write the text message without adding the contact name at first for fear that I accidentally send the text before it is finished. If the contact isn't added then I can't possibly send the text by accident

  15. Customize Group Text

    Be able to select reply to all or reply to sender only options PER GROUP rather than across the board. When I lead larger groups, I like to keep it reply to me only to save them lots of texts. But in a smaller friend group, would like to allow it to be reply to all.

    my idea is to have a way to search through a certain contacts messages for keywords... for instance i am looking for a previous message about my passport in a conversation with my mom and the only way to do it is to physically look through all our messages

  19. Display Contact Nickname

    What about having a setting to also display Contact Nickname, either in place of, before, or after in parenthesis the usual First + Last name. Sometimes I learn someone's nickname, but they put in their real name as well, so I sometimes get confused.

  20. Bulk / Chat Toggle

    Make the toggle easier to access for individual messages. Sometimes I'm trying to start conversation with a group of co-workers/friends and other times I just want individual responses.
