    Messages from each number should be collected in a folder for easier access.

    It would be great if I could save contacts into groups and save for later. ie. "techies":gert, bear, sose
    so that if I type "techies"... all contacts under "techies" would appear. I wouldn't have to type all their names again.

  4. add share location feature

    at the very least I think integrating it with Google maps and sharing a location would be a good feature

  5. add toggle option for swipe to close chat

    I can see how this would be a useful function for some people, but personally I find it frustrating that the chat auto closes with swiping rightward. I often write a text and then highlight to delete words or sentences, but doing so runs a high risk of closing the chat if you do it in just the wrong motion. I would LOVE to be able to toggle this off!!!

  7. Don't hold down microphone button to send voice messages.

    Holding down the small button to send a voice message is finicky and tedious. Whatsapp, Signal, and Google Messages all allow you to just swipe up & record without having to hold the button

    There should be a RCS feature. Being able to see when the person is typing/responding back to your message. More customizable chat bubbles.

    the group chat is not very effective. im having trouble with getting messages from everyone or deciphering who is sending the message. no bubble beside their message.

  17. notification for sent but not delivered texts

    some of my texts are sent but not delivered. please add a notification option if delivery does not happen within a certain timeframe (5 mins maybe) so that I can resend. other apps already have this

  18. Different colors for non-contacts conversations

    I love to have my people's conversations in purple, but I would like to have automatically another chosen color for unknown people.
    (actually, I would like kind of tags to manage groups. A color for two-step authorizations and bot-notifications, another color for my doctors, etc)

    Please make an App for Pixel Watch Support. Many of us with paid Textra accounts, have to switch back to Google Messages to get functionality on Pixel Watch.

    just like all this 21st century messaging applications. you should be able to reply to a specific conversation and you should be able to edit a message
