  2. Delay sending by hours

    Compose a text to send later. (eg composing late at night with automated sending at 9am the next morning)

  3. more icons

    i would love to see more notification icons or something new then what we have now.
    i have been with Textra since the beginning and i am ready for a fabulous change, I'm out of icons for my contacts and I'm bored with these.
    if there is a way to download my own that would be amazing!
    i would love more personalization options, bubbles, pics, backgrounds, themes etc

  4. These may have been suggested in the past and maybe there's a way to do it, but I haven't found it. I think the app would benefit from:

    1. Ability to open a text and then close it marking it "unread" so the user can come back to it later

    2. Ability to assign an icon or color to a user-defined text group name so that it stands out in the list of texts. I can change the color within the text stream but there's nothing that I can do to make that particular text stream stand out in the list of 100's of texts I have

    3. At some point the app was changed so that a user clicking on a URL has options like "Open", "Copy", etc. I always…

  5. capital I

    I love the app. the only thing that drives me crazy is it does not intuitively change a stand alone i to a capital I. it should also capitalize the first letter after period.

  6. Swipe to delete

    We need the option to single-swipe delete messages and group conversations without any confirmation or double tapping. It can be an advanced option.

  7. please allow choice for swipe direction action on conversation list

    On Samsung phones, swiping right from a context list is for calling someone. In Textra, swiping right is for deleting a thread. I'd love to be able to change that to swiping left. Confusing to remember which is which. thanks!

  8. Keep Textra open after I reply

    I don't know why Textra closes right after I reply to a message. I am using the Pro version. is there a setting I can change so I can stay in and continue the conversation? it's a pain to lose the window when I'm in a hurry. Thanks.

  9. Clickable hyperlinks

    It seems that when I send a hyperlink in a text message, the recipient cannot simply click on it. they tell me that they have to copy and paste it into their browser. is there a way to make the link clickable?

  10. Please allow us to turn off auto-underlined dates and text

    In update 4.44, Textra now automatically underlines dates, addresses, and contact information, but most of the time it underlines random things that it mistakes for that type of content. I don't have much of a use for this feature, and I also find it annoying. Would love to be able to disable it.

  11. Pinned Contacts Order

    Hi, can we arrange pinned Contacts to stay in a specific order? It would also be super fancy to always pin "Keep" to the very top.

  12. Sort blocklist by date

    Please sort the blocklist by date, most recent first. If I'm expecting an sms and want to check if I received it but blocked it, it's currently very difficult to find recent blocked texts.

  13. Message Scheduling Ability

    I had a messenging app before that allowed me to create a text to send later, at a day and time if my choosing. I loved that feature and would LOVE to see that offered with this app as well. Is that a possibility?

  14. Move position of "Blocklist" in Quick Reply window

    I voted yes for someone who had a similar idea. in the quick reply window or the pop-up window when I'm sharing a link in Textra the upper right drop-down menu has Blocklist at the top. I have accidentally blocklisted my friends so many times when intending just to close the window. Please move it down in the menu and put Close Window or Done at the top

  15. Unknown Contact Message Reminder

    I love that I can have messages from unknown contacts not alert me. It definitely stops annoying spam messages from interrupting my day. However, this also prevents me from getting messages that I DO want to get and I don't know about them until I open the app. Can we have an option for a daily reminder of unread messages from unknown numbers? Or something like that. Thanks!

  16. Bug: S22 Ultra custom notification sound reverts to default

    I am unable to use a custom notification sound for Textra on Samsung S22 ultra running Android 13, One UI 5.0 and Textra 4.59. I select a ringtone within Textra/Settings/Customize Notifications/Android Settings. The sound I chose is from Zedge "Airbus Seatbelt Sign" but when an incoming Textra message arrives, I hear the default system sound "Ping". I did not have this problem with my Note 10plus running Android 12, UI 4.1 and Textra 4.56.

    Are you aware of this bug?

    For now, I've changed the default system sound to "Airbus Seatbelt Sign", but now other system notifications make me check…

    A space bar or button would be really handy on emoji pages. Sometimes I want to put spaces between emojis and have to go back to the regular keyboard to do it.

  18. Label for unreplied texts please

    so we get a label for unread texts in our inbox, can we please get a label for unreplied texts too?

    I sometimes read a message but forget to reply, thus having a label like the unread label would save me so much.

  19. Delete duplicate messages

    Can you make a setting to delete duplicates of text messages? I just transferred my s20+ to my new s23+ and all of my messages duplicated to where they show 2 of each. Verizon doesn't have a way to delete these and I'd like to avoid wiping the phone

  20. Let some us old timers help.

    maybe I'm the only one, maybe not. But often when I log in and come to the ideas I see a lot of requests for things that either are already there and maybe they don't know it or they're impossible to do. These types of messages seem to fill up a remainder quite a while which isn't good for you and isn't good for the customer.
