Option to send long SMS messages as MMS message
Along side the option to split SMS messages, I would like to have the option to send a text MMS message if the characters exceed 160. This would come in handy for messages with alot of emoticons and other random things.
This has been completed in v3.22 of Textra. It’s a global setting (for all contacts) as well as customizable on a per contact basis (for example you only need it for sending to friends on Verizon network if you are on t-mobile). Out this week.

This is not fixed. At least on my end of things. I believe the person who wrote this was talking about SENDING long SMS messages, not receiving them. But either way doesn't work for me. When texting someone with an iPhone, if my message is over 160 characters it splits all of my messages and sends them in chunks. If I turn the splitting feature off, none of my messages ever send. They all fail.
Also, receiving long SMS messages doesn't work either. I have it set to convert long SMS messages > 3 to MMS, and I still receive every long message out of order and in chunks. Please help!!

son güncelleme ile,örneğin mesajı yazdım kalan karakter sayısı 50 diyelim,bi surat ifadesi eklediğimde 50 karakter hakkı sıfıra inmekle kalmayıp 2 inci mesajında yarısını eklediğim bir suratla harcanmış oluyor, derhal düzeltilmesini istiyorum

Is there a setting for this? I don't see it. I'm still getting split messages from users I know are using Textra. We are Sprint and/or Verizon

Rami, that would be dependent on how the person messaging you sends the message. That's under their control. So if they use Textra or another app with this feature, of course it'll be sent to you as the long message.

This includes receiving long messages, right?

C'mon Textra peeps! This is a no Brainer! I'm a paid user and have to go back to stock?
God not! -

I had to leave Textra and go back to my stock LG app on my phone and my wife's phone. I've recommended Textra to many friends, but always have to say it's great, except your messages will be completely screwed up if they are longer than 140. It's crazy that this has to be voted on as a feature. Maybe it's just US carriers, but I have Verizon and I can't send long texts to ATT unless I have to split it into separate texts. Sending someone 4 texts in a row by splitting is not a solution when other apps, like my stock LG, work just fine.

Still hoping for this. As long as carriers are still splitting messages, this is essential functionality, as split messages often are received out of order and confuse the communication. And beyond all of the other very nice features, this is at the core a communication app, and the primary function is ensuring that communication is delivered clearly and precisely as intended. I believe this would greatly help in that regard.
