  1. this is the 21st century. add other members to an existing group.

    How hard can it be, for crying out loud, to add other members to an existing group message? Nobody seems to be able to do it. It would instantly be the top group messaging app available.

  2. You can disable smart reply

    Go to settings in your phone settings (not the Tetra app). Type in 'pop up'. Then press 'smart pop-up view'. Uncheck it for Textra.

  4. Some carriers require a prefix to all messages for delivery reports

    O2 and GiffGaff in the UK require a prefix on any SMS that you wish to get delivery reports for. Please support a custom prefix that will automatically be added to any sent message.
    The prefix in this instance is *0# and a space.

  5. Message Delay Increments

    Instead if full second message delay increments, allow the user to have control down to the 1/4 of the second. Such as 1.5 seconds or .75 seconds. This is helpful for users who are using lower second delays.

  6. Option to prevent sending MMS messages without changing APN

    I'd find this useful as my carrier charges for MMS messages and I can't change my default APN as it's locked

  8. Automatically resend failed messages due to lack of signal

    As someone who rides the NYC subway, I will periodically lose signal at points of my commute. I may randomly receive text messages as I pass by a station, but by the time I write a reply I have already lost my signal again. If I try to send a message, eventually it will fail due to no signal. It would be great if my phone could either know about my signal state, and send the message when I reconnect to my network, or if I could configure some sort of timed retry (retry failed message after, say, 5 minutes,…

  13. backspace to delete a word

    sometimes when I'm typing out a message and I type out the wrong word I'd like to be able to hit the backspace once to delete the entire word. Is that possible in this version?

    I send a group text one to two times a day can you add a group to the favorite list on the front end? it would save two to three clicks and thinking would be real nice.

  15. Samsung One UI dark them - pull down notification glitch

    I am on Samsung note 8. Recently upgraded to Android 9 (pie). Loved the dark theme. Along comes along a beautiful dark pull down notification.

    I've configured 'mark read, 'reply' and 'call back. By default their font color is dark grey. It actually comes very close to the default background color of the pull down notification, resulting in inability to see the options clearly.

    I imagine with future Android releases, this notification color will change and wonder if Textra team could add a customization for this, or there already has one solution for it. Thanks.

  19. Export Textra Blacklisting Rules

    An option to export all Textra settings including the blacklisting rules.
    While switching devices, even if we restore the messages using SMS Backup and Restore, the blacklisting rules are not imported and the unwanted messages show up in the primary list again.

    This would be a great option. Samsung does this and will even help, across devices for the perfect dpi setting
