  2. do not disturb

    Have a do not disturb feature for driving a car. It could be linked to blue tooth, and activated when a car is connected.

    It could send a pre-programmed message to whomever is sending a text to the phone.

  4. respond without unlocking

    Used to be able to do it and it got taken away. Chomp sms can do it in the current OS version. That would make this the best sms app ever.

  10. SMS messages generator from list and schedule

    We think about people we care for, but our lifes are so busy we often don't have time to send them messages. Can you please include the following feature:
    * The user can create pools of messages (for ex: lovemsg="love you","miss you","wish i could hold you now" and friendmsg="hope you are well","just want to say hi" etc.

    • Then the user can select some contacts for which to apply a pool, and a schedule to send a random message from the pool.
      For example: John Doe : send from list msgfriend once a week.

    • Ideally it would send at random interval…

  12. checking with users before changes

    got the update saying Google determined how notifications are to be colored. Textra realized to this question that they decided to make the changes. how about reaching out to users through a text to get our vote? without users, there is no app..

  17. Contacts from Android for Work

    If possible you should incorporate Co tacts from Android for Work when composing or viewing messages. The native Messages app supports this, however texts received from Work contacts show up as just the phone number, and, you can't compose new texts to Work contacts.

    It'd be cool to have the option to keep group conversations separate from individual ones. Kind of like sort them, or maybe swipe across to view a 'group convo' section.

  19. Change Color of Badge in Group Message

    Allow you to customize the name badge on the left for group messages. The circle with the initials of the sender. You can change the circle now but it changes both the circle and the text box. Nice to change just the circle with initials.

  20. The ability to set a photo for a group conversation.

    At the moment, group conversations contact photos are collages of all the members of the group. It would be nice if you can set the photo for the conversation instead.
