I have an idea. I've been a pro user for years. Regarding emojis, can you come up with a way to remove recently used emojis, instead of creating the cache which clears out all my settings and group IDs.

Fix Direct Share
Please adjust direct share to show frequently texted and/or favourited contacts, instead of conversations/group chats that I haven't looked at in months, just because I never replied to them.
Even just removing conversations that have literally been deleted from the direct share context menu would be a huge help.

Black or dark?
Why is system default after sunset completely black and not just "dark" like other apps (Gmail, Google Calendar etc.)

contact ID pic
I would like to see contact ID pic next to conversation bubble, including my own pic. Sender pic is there in group message. I wish it were in all conversations. For all participants.

Favorites list in New Text
The next text message lists my favorite contacts at the top, but displays all of their phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Work). I would like this to only show the Mobile numbers. I have 6 favorite people, but shows 11 rows in the favorites list.

Move the choose SIM button away from the bottom bar
it's too close to the send button. I've had a couple of times where I accidentally sent SMS messages through the wrong provider. Please move that button away from the bottom bar.

mute notifications of people who send you multiple sentences in individual texts in rapid succession

where they separate each sentence into its own text and you get five or six notifications in a row. It's pretty annoying, I would love some kind of feature that would maybe mute successive notifications from the same contact within say 30 seconds.

Sync should NOT delete your chat history
I am traveling abroad and textra starts a new conversation thread for incoming messages, instead of using the existing conversation history. I found a solution to use the resync function in textras settings > about. Textra DELETED the old threads and kept the new threads with only a few messages. All the conversations, all the pictures, all the history, GONE. I am so sad right now. There was no warning. Notification text split
I want to be able to pull down the android notification menu and see the message text, but I don't want the notification to pop up over apps.
I want easy access to the text without accidently showing friends/family what my SO sent me if I'm showing them a funny video or whatever.

Move frequently messaged contacts to top of list
Where we can customize which contacts are placed at the top of the messaging list (and the ability to remove that contact from the top of the list too). It would be helpful if I could add my kids to the top of the messages so as to find them quickly!
