  1. Swiping away notifications

    The issue with the app now, is where. I am using my phone and the overlay comes on the screen for a new message and I need to keep working on what I wS doing I swipe it away off the screen. THE PROBLEM is that the app now says I read that message when I didn't. Would love for this to get fixed.

    It would be awesome if there was an option within a specific text thread (person you text) where you can click and see all of the sent and received images in one place.

  4. Allowing to make phone calls

    Displaying the phone number of the person you are texting along with a phone button next to it to allow you to call the person from inside the text window would be GREAT! Someone txts something that requires an immediate voice conversation rather than another txt... Or if your response was going to be more than you wanted to type... several reasons make this a good addition to the app.

  5. combine incoming SMSs

    This one is a deal-breaker for me, and it is honestly the main reason I am currently using Google Messages. I really want to use Textra, even without the ability to archive. Anyway, I have noticed when I receive multiple SMS messages from the same person, I am only able to read a short snippet of each one unless I unlock my phone and open the app. Other messaging apps seem to combine these messages, so that I can read the whole thread without having to unlock my phone and open the app. If you are able to make this…

  6. Recent recipients!

    The only reason I deleted Textra is because there is no shortcut to text recent recipients. I had to type in a name even though I just sent that same person a text.
    access to recent recipients is especially important when forwarding a text.
    Otherwise it's a great app and sent my pics with no delay, unlike the messaging app that came with my Galaxy S8.

  8. Top Bar alteration

    the top bar takes up too much space and it's not that appealing when compared to Google messages and Pulse. Love Textra this is just a minor pretty peeve!! ;-)

    Goal here is to be able to see more text threads without scrolling down.

    i like having the photos for each contact appear with each message thats the main reason i came to textra over the default app. atleast give me the option to do it.

    How about put colours of all the notification icon. If you can change themes and all I believe you guys can create how to make the notification icon with different colours. That would be awesome! 🥰

    it would be nice to have features that iMessage has. alone with hopefully get RCS on Textra and adding our contact's photo next to their texts in the conversation

  16. Filter search results

    I've seen multiple ideas getting at the same concept. Sometimes you need a broad search for Forgetful Freds, but Retentive Reginas need a more narrowed search. Filters for search results would be beneficial for all. Filter by contact, date range(within last 7d, last 30d, last 90d, last 365d, over a year ago), locked, blacklisted,etc. Win, win, win!

  17. Camera in full screen

    When I want to take a photo in this app, by default, the camera only use a fraction of the screen and thus from the camera.

    Please make an option to disable that and automatically open the full screen camera option

  18. Text archive! Or at "hide" text threads.

    This has been sorely missing from the functions. Sometimes you don't want to delete a thread of tens of thousands of texts but you want it off screen (let's say you don't talk to the person often). It would visually improve everything!

  19. Messages Cloud

    Would also be nice to save all your messages to a cloud to prevent from loosing important data. It has happened many times when Textra stops working for some random reason and have to uninstall and install it again but I have missing texts messages. Not all my messages get synced. Can you work on this idea?

  20. Message count

    I think it would be cool to be able to see the total number of messages in a conversation (similar to the 'Media' counter for pictures/videos).
