  1. RCS Advanced Messaging info

    I have picked up a new smartphone and installed Textra and made it the default app. I thought I was getting messages until I saw a notification show up and was like huh. why didn't that show in Textra. saw in your help about messages not showing and why you thought. I think your thinking is wrong and you should incorporate RCS in your Textra. thus is why and may help explain the RCS Advanced messaging on the newer phones.   2. Background customization

    This app is EVERYTHING anyone could ask for!!! I've been using it for years and the devs have definitely taken our ideas and improved it. The ONLY thing this app is missing is the ability to insert a background picture behind the text messages. PLEASE bring that feature with the next update, we would GREATLY appreciate it!

  7. Option to have emoji button on keyboard or enter button on keyboard as default.

    Currently the only option is to have the enter button on the keyboard. In order to get to emoji symbols you have to hold it down and slide up to access emojis. I would like an option to choose between a default of enter or emoji on the keyboard.

  8. Tone on delivery reports. The sent sound would be perfect.

    Desperately need a tone on successful delivery report. I'm honestly shocked this wonderful text client lacks this very basic feature. Even the Samsung stock message app has this, along with every other sms client on the market. The sent tone would be perfect for this. I never understand why anybody would need a audio notification on messages sent. its very pointless. However, that tone on successful delivery reports would be perfect. I like this app but I find my self staring at my message waiting for a tick icon which is very hard to see for poor eye sighted like…

  9. Notifications drop down - mark read, and call back option.

    from notifications, should have the option to press one quick button to mark a message as read or call the person directly.

  10. Draft Texts

    When I'm texting someone, but am not ready to send it, it would be nice for the text to stay as a 'draft' and move to the top of the thread list. Right now, sometimes the message stays, sometimes not, but the thread stays buried in the message list, according to the time stamp of the previously sent/received text. I emailed Textra support, but never received a response.

  11. Textra data should go on the sd card instead of the internal memory

    Textra is so great but it takes toooooo much space with the time! And all this data can only go to the internal memory. My textra app is now 3go! How can we deal with that issue as many people have only 8go of internal memory to share with all the rest of the system?
    Right now, my phone has not enough memory to install any app but... i have a 64go micro sd card, which is completely free!
    Those 3go of textra data should go on the card, not in the internal and limited memory, no?

  13. Spam text filtering

    I receive a lot of spam texts with malicious links. While your amazing controls help prevent them from interrupting my day, it's still something I have to manually remove 2-6 times a day, lest I accidentally click a link.

    It would be awesome to have some kind of filter by key word or email address(as most of these are from spam emails sent carrier email to text) that I can use to block or filter out these useless and possibly dangerous messages.

  14. Emoji reactions to text messages

    Google text app allows the user to pick from the entire emoji catalog to react to a text message, that would be REALLY amazing if Textra could implement the same feature. Textra would then be 100% perfect!

    It's really hard noticing the unread messages. It would be really helpful if they were shown in bold text or different colours.

  18. New message indicator on home screen icon

    I wish the icon on the home screen had a notification indicator if I had a new message. For example, in AT&T Messaging it shows a 1,2 or three for the number of text messages you've received.
