  2. Unread messages shown with bold text.

    It's really hard noticing the unread messages. It would be really helpful if they were shown in bold text or different colours.

  3. Spam text filtering

    I receive a lot of spam texts with malicious links. While your amazing controls help prevent them from interrupting my day, it's still something I have to manually remove 2-6 times a day, lest I accidentally click a link.

    It would be awesome to have some kind of filter by key word or email address(as most of these are from spam emails sent carrier email to text) that I can use to block or filter out these useless and possibly dangerous messages.

  4. Emoji reactions to text messages

    Google text app allows the user to pick from the entire emoji catalog to react to a text message, that would be REALLY amazing if Textra could implement the same feature. Textra would then be 100% perfect!

    Add a bubble with some dots to let us know when someone is typing and maybe add some text below our bubble that says when someone read your message 😂👍

  7. trash bin for accidentally deleted messages.

    Please create a trash bin for text messages that have been deleted accidentally. I was looking for a chat/text that I had going for over a year and I somehow deleted it by accident. It would be nice to have the option to recover those text messages.

  8. Textra seriously needs to have an option to export customization settings.

    How has this not been implemented yet in the past half of the decade? This is especially important for people who want to continue using Textra when they switch over to new devices. Users like myself like to customize the app the way we like, create our own theme and colors for specific contacts. It's a pain to re-do all of the customization settings, especially when it comes to individual contacts.

    I doubt this is an original idea from myself and always wondered why exporting customization settings hasn't been a thing considering how customization is a key feature of Textra…

  11. attach photos- too many steps

    Why did the send/ attach photos functionality change? instead of clicking the photo button, selecting and hitting send, now I have to click, select, select again, click "choose" and then click "choose 1" again. then send. why did you change this??

  15. Delete with less steps

    Please add an option to disable confirmation before deleting. It currently takes three actions to delete a conversation. At the least, reduce the slide deletion method down to just "slide->press once on trashcan". Thanks

  16. Textra companion app for Gear S2

    I hope it is in the works for future Gear S2 (powered by Tizen) support. I have it so that I can accept and respond to notifications, but I would like an app/widget on my Smartwatch that sends a message instead of just a reply.

    Nonetheless, I love your app and can't go back to messages.

  17. Bulk Vs Chat button in group messages

    I have some groups that I like having chat conversations with others I prefer to send individually. It would be really great if there was a button in the message that allowed me to switch back and forth easily instead of going through the settings. The messaging app for Samsung has that feature.

  19. "Read" statuses and typing notifications

    I recently switched from Samsung Messenger, and it would be nice to have the "Received" notification, the "Read" notification when the recipient has viewed the message, and a visual when the other person is typing a response. I'm not sure if this is possible to add, but it would be a nice option for those who choose to enable it in the app.
