  1. More tetra to textra features

    Add more features that would only work between 2 users using textra. Like animations, quick doodles to send, bubble animations, the ability to "like" messages, read receipts, WiFi capability, etc.

    I'm really looking for these fun features and I think it would encourage the textra community to grow

  3. Disable texting a specific contact for a custom period of time

    This idea is designed for those moments when you are feeling helpless, neurotic and compelled to express what you are feeling, but you still feel the need to protect the people that you love and that love you back from yourself.

    This feature would fill a void when you need to keep an open channel of communication, and blacklisting someone is not appropriate.

  4. Better gifs

    Please find a way to have better, smoother, more relevant gifs that rival that of other gif keyboards. Noone wants to be the person in a group sending poor choppy and not relevant or up to date gifs and meet. Please give it a thought!

  5. Swipe away text notification right: it goes away permanently

    This way if you want to remove the notification so your LED stops blinking, but you still want to be re-reminded of the notification at a later time. Could also add multiple buttons for these options into the notification itself (rich notifications).

  6. Have conversation view when typing a new message

    Instead of looking at our favorite contacts or contacts when typing a new message, can we have an option to display our conversations? Many times I want to send pictures to a group or someone I'm currently texting, and I have to type out everyone's name so it can go to the group.

    Recently used emoji are nice, but change order. If there was a favorite section they could remain in order and you could customize them how you like.

  9. disable draft messages when only the spacebar is pressed. I know it sounds crazy, but I've done this so many times!

    this should also have an on/off option, for those who want drafts starting with blank spaces.

  12. Customize the times for light & dark mode

    As is, it will adjust from 10pm - 6am, but this feature would be improved greatly with manual customization or sync with sunrise/sunset for your local area

  14. Compress videos and pictures automatically before sending

    Like the new update to the google messenger app. The video will compress, then send (when attached). You have a previous article regarding this feature that says this feature is completed. BUT IT IS NOT. Videos are only compressed when the video is taken from within the app. The app should compress videos when attached from the gallery.

  16. Completely disable notifications for certain numbers

    It seems there's no way to completely disable notifications for specific senders/numbers. I can turn off aspects of notification per number but not disable them completely. They still show up in my phone's notification area, and still briefly pop up on the top of screen.

  19. Hit enter to send could be changed to send when ready.

    I like that you guys have a delay before send option and I use it faithfully. Pretty much why I downloaded the app. Problem is, I use it for proof reading when I send a text. Sometimes I writetext a small paragraph and sometimes I don't. I set for about 6 or more seconds just in case I send a paragraph, but when just saying hi, you have to wait out the remainder of the time.
