  1. Notification sounds

    My Textra has recently updated but now it will not play any notification sounds. Even when I went into settings and changed them.

  2. Sim card switch on top

    Thnx for a great app.
    In dual sim card phones, the sim card switch can obscure/interfere with right to left language sms like Arabic, Hebrew, etc...
    Having the switch on top may be better.

  4. Notification icon on status bar should "remain", until it has been read manually

    The Textra 'new message icon' in the status bar, should remain to indicate unread messages in the inbox, even after swiping them off your:

    • lock screen
    • home screen
    • notifications (down swiping the status bar)

    (unless you've marked it as read of course)

    Never had any trouble on previous devices like Samsung S2 or Alpha, but on Edge 7, I've been missing many messages, (even with the Show until dismissed setting) because they accidentally get swiped in pocket, during other activity and nothing indicates new messages, unless you manually go to your inbox to check.

  5. Just a thought.... To be able to choose the interval time between message notification reminders. It's set at 2 minutes, and unchangeable.

  6. Add the option to outline speech bubbles

    Like have bubbles be the same color as the background, but have the bubbles be outlined in contrast colors. (ex: black background, black bubbles with with outline and white text)

  7. Instead of giving feedback, there should be a place to get actual support.

    MMS won't work on my phone and I can find no solutions elsewhere. Knowledgebase articles just aren't enough.

  8. Being able to know when someone reads my text.

    I think it'd be cool if I knew when someone read or saw my text like it just says read under my text or something

  9. INDIVIDUAL CHAT COLORS

    We should have an option to change the colors of each person so we can differentiate the people who are talking and make the chat really pop out. I would make this my default app if that were possible.

  13. spam sms inbox

    i get a lot of spam sms, be great if sms from numbers not in your contacts would go into a spam/blocked sms inbox. blacklisting a number "individually" doesnt do it, as spam sms come from lots of numbers. blocking numbers thru filtering words isnt enough either.

  14. Text while Textra time delays your message.

    I use a time delay one my texts in case I screw up and have to change something after I hit send, but the issue is I can't send consecutive messages without waiting 9 seconds for my delay to happen. This is the inconvenient surprisingly often, and I'd really like a system where a delayed message moves out of the text box so I can begin working on my next message while the current one is sending.

    In the most recent update there is not a place to put your phone number. So we get our own texts in group messaging. Although it says in settings that below you can put it in.

  17. Bring back swipe down to hide keyboard

    I used to be able to hide the keyboard inside a conversation thread by performing a swipe down gesture on the text input area or on the "send" arrow. But this seems to be gone since the last update. I used it a lot and found it extremely convenient. It greatly complements the gesture features of the app. Can you please bring it back?

  18. Quick Reply auto close V3.24

    Funny, new feature in v3.24 doesn't actually exist.

    NEW: Do you wish Quick Reply didn't auto-close after sending a message, so you can continue to chat? See Settings > Customize Notifications > Auto Close Quick Reply.

    "Auto Close Quick Reply" isn't in the Settings on my phone.

  19. An indicator line to separate read and unread messages

    Just provide a line saying "unread messages" in each thread followed by the unread messages in that particular thread, which will be very helpful for huge message receivers from multiple sources. This is best appreciated in lava 504q+ mobile model which works on kit Kat.

  20. Scrolling text in heads up notification

    Any chance we can get scrolling text with the heads up notification. Sometimes I can't see past the first few characters even when the message is short. Maybe like the old ticker notification days.
