  2. SMS Backup

    We need an option to backup the messages database. to be exported to a new device for example.
    I have almost 30k msg and google never bring them all when I factory reset my phone

  3. AUTOMATIC REPLY

    Need auto reply messages to be able to be set. there should be a standard text reply list and the ability to write custom replies. Verizon Messeger had this feature.

  4. Wear OS integration

    integrate textra to be native app on wear OS now that Samsung has dropped its competing watch OS for Googles. Allow for SMS messages in textra to work just like Google and Samsung Messages so that they can be read and archived or deleted.

  5. Direct payment for Pro?

    I don't have Google Play Services on my Android device but would like to pay for the Pro version. Is there a way to do that?

    Messages from each number should be collected in a folder for easier access.

    The color of each folder can be customized and locked.

    It would be great if I could save contacts into groups and save for later. ie. "techies":gert, bear, sose
    so that if I type "techies"... all contacts under "techies" would appear. I wouldn't have to type all their names again.

    at the very least I think integrating it with Google maps and sharing a location would be a good feature

  11. Group chat title

    It would be helpful to be able to give a group chat a title/name, rather than just the list of participants. It would make it easier to find and avoid sending a text to the wrong group when a contact is in more than one group.

  12. add toggle option for swipe to close chat

    I can see how this would be a useful function for some people, but personally I find it frustrating that the chat auto closes with swiping rightward. I often write a text and then highlight to delete words or sentences, but doing so runs a high risk of closing the chat if you do it in just the wrong motion. I would LOVE to be able to toggle this off!!!

  13. Don't hold down microphone button to send voice messages.

    Holding down the small button to send a voice message is finicky and tedious. Whatsapp, Signal, and Google Messages all allow you to just swipe up & record without having to hold the button

  17. Search Options feature

    When searching throughout all conversations it would be super helpful to have options and filters. To make it easier to find a specific message, options should include whether or not to search within contacts or just within the conversations, the ability to filter the search results by date, and the ability to change the sort order such as alphabetical, reverse alphabetical, newest first, oldest first.
    why? often when searching for a particular communication I am presented with a sea of contacts responses without any ability to sift through the many options to find the one I'm looking for. I think…

  19. Custom order for pinned contacts

    Currently, it seems as though pinned contacts are ordered based off the time the last message was sent/received. Having an option to order pinned contacts and keep them in a certain rider regardless of when the last message was sent would be beneficial on keeping my prioritized contacts in a certain order where they will always be

  20. Add tagging or folder functions to organize out of control inboxes!

    add the ability to either tag contacts an atom's to certain groups or folders so that one can easily navigate and find personal messages, family messages, promotional messages, one time codes Etc.
