Combine conversations from same contact
Sometimes a friend will change their number, so I will end up with multiple conversations from the same person, but since they are different numbers, they will be listed separately.
I would like to see an option to (probably manually) combine all conversation strings from the same contact name.
Useful for those that don't delete texts.

align text properly
when text is aligned to the right but the next word is long the text is in the middle of the screen instead of to the right or left leaving a big gap between the text and the edge of the screen.

Deleting Messages
It would be nice if there was an option to delete/select all within the text/mms thread instead of having to click every message.
example: I have 100 messages in a thread but I want to keep 7 of them. Instead of clicking 93 messages it would be faster to select all then unclick those 7.2 votes -

Swap send delay options
I loved using send delays to cancel messages that I may have written too fast without proofreading, but now the send option is where the cancel option used to be. Because my reflex is to double tap the same place after I send to cancel sending I've sent many erroneous messages and I think the feature has almost lost its use because of the ui change. I could get used to it, but it makes more sense to me to have the cancel in the original location.

Textra-only favourite contacts for quick k compose
As of now, quick compose shows your android defined favourite contacts. This is ok, but for those of us who use Do Not Disturb mode, we don't want to add addition contacts to the system favourites so we are interrupted when we wish to not be.
A textra-specific list is a good solution in my opinion.

Expand Notification
I am on Android O and right now the quick compose is collapsed automatically. if its possible it would be amazing if the notification could be automatically expanded.

Notification Pop-Up
A fix more than an idea, when you receive a text while using device the Pop-Up notification will mark as read in the app. and when clearing notification center the badge will clear with it. hope u could fix that.

porque no colocan las conversaciones en cuadriculas, y que así como lo ponen el color automático a las conversaciones también se les coloque a las conversaciones por fuera.

Toggle "show date"
Maybe something a little closer but not the same as iPhone or Facebook Messenger date stamp.
Purely aesthetics.
I feel like almost all text messages have a date stamp, I don't mind when a stamp is visible separating messages that are either by day or when there a bunch frequently sent around each other but not every one.
If I really want the date sent recieved/sent stamp info I should be able to long press or side swipe the text

Backup Blacklisted numbers list with Google account
It would be great if the Blacklist list was backed up with our google account so we don't have to rebuild the list every time we install Textra. There are over a hundred in my list.

Auto Resize when sending GIF heavier than Carrier Data Limit
My carrier is limiting the weight of MMS at 600k. Most of GIFs I want to send are heavier. I know that Google's messenger is able to resize them automatically. Can you add this feature too ?

swipe left call
swipe left simply shows the call icon.
most text app are standard with swipe left to actually dial and call the contact.this feature is missed
