can we get some more icon choices to assign to our contacts?
the weird designs don't make sense.

Toggle to hide contact circle in thread view
It would be fantastic to have a toggle in settings to be able to hide the contact circle (the one that either has the initials or the picture in thread view). I have a disability that makes this distracting.

Schedule recurring texts
Hello, it would be very helpful to be able to schedule a recurring text message. My wife is very forgetful and we have opposite sleep schedules, so it would help a lot to be able to schedule a recurring text to remind her to take her pills. Thank you for your time 😊

eliminate the delete option from block listed
You just made me delete a conversation I've been having since 2017 because you added that option, which used to be view chat. That sucks!!! and it didn't even ask me if I was sure I wanted to delete All of that history. to make it worse, you don't back up texts and there was no way to retrieve it like with other texting apps. God damn it.

Email a backup of texts automatically
Would you consider the option of allowing Textra to automatically send our daily texts to our assigned email so they can be forever saved and included in email searches later on?

Initials in Message Badge
When reading a multi-recipient message thread, messages are identified by a two-letter badge. For example: a message from Dave Smith is identified by a badge that has DS in the badge.
However, I use titles in my contacts for other purposes. ie. Mr Dave Smith so the badge says MD instead of DS. As a result all of the badges have M and then the letter from their first name. This makes Dave Smith and Mrs Diane Johnson look identical. MD and MD.
The badges should only use first and last name and NOT the title so that they correctly…

I really don't think this shit is coop at all .... Don't c where I was.told that partner apps and different companies would try to track me thru ur app. Rotten Mother Fucker you are who are consumed by a dollar but your kind will be the first to go when it hits the fan.

Android Auto Privacy
Can Textra add a privacy option where texts are private on the phone lock screen but the user is still able to have Android Auto read the message when the phone is locked? I want to keep my phone private so I don't worry about it when I set it down and walk away, but I want to be able to listen to the text if I'm driving.

Bug: Messages that are 'unread' during an app update stay 'unread'
Please fix. If I receive a message and then Textra updates before I read the message then it will never be marked as read. The only way to get rid of the unread messages number on the conversation is to delete the number of 'unread' messages prior to the time of the update.

Tabs for Known & Unknown Contacts
A lot of spam from random numbers can clog up the main list of recent people I've texted, especially as political seasons roll around.
It would be very nice if the main activity page for the Textra app could have 2 tabs. one listing conversations with contacts in my contact list, and another tab for numbers I haven't added.
For group texts where I have only some of the numbers, personally I add those to the Known Number tab.
