We wish we could! Google are the only ones that can do RCS at the moment. Until they provide the RCS interfaces on Android for everyone.

Totally agree on this, but need to clarify this for the average Joe/Jane. It's basically SMS/MMS on steroids....
RCS is a standardized protocol similar to iMessage (or WhatsApp/FB Messenger/etc) across a growing number of carriers & nations. It's now officially adopted by Sprint and signs of T-Mobile and AT&T in the near future. If/When this standard is adopted across most or all carriers, it will wipe out the exclusivity and issues associated with proprietary services like iMessage.
A nice article: https://www.wired.com/2017/02/google-support-for-rcs/

This is standard in every text app I've ever used. Was surprised when I didn't see it with Textra. Most apps either have them above/below each other or on more info when selecting a message.

Hands down agree. I really like the time delay, has saved me a number of times, BUT it's also kind of a waste of a feature when you can't keep typing the next message or approve/send the message ahead of time.
What I would like to see...One or both:
+Delayed message pops into the body, where a user can continue to type next message.
+Option to press the message to instantly send it, whether delayed in body or message box (i.e. you've reviewed, it looks good, click, and send). This allows someone to have normal conversations without having to wait however many seconds in between every message. Otherwise...why not just make the habit of checking the message before sending?
