    I would like this to be an option as well. My wife prefers to see the little emoji when I send emoticon text. I prefer to see the actual :-) I just finally got her to switch to Android from her iphone and she liked that her phone converted my :-) to a little emoji picture.

  3. PLEASE MAKE IT EASIER TO SEND EMOTICONS WITHOUT PRESSING THE PLUS ICON AND THE HAVING TO GO IN THE EMOJIS. TAKES TOO LONG

    Just curious if you're asking for a emoji to be inserted based on a text representation. Using swype with the stock messaging app, if I type :-), it automatically puts the smiley emoji in the message. Likewise, if someone sends me a :-), I automatically see the smiley picture. In textra, it seems that if I type :-), that is what I send and receive.
