  1. Ability to switch the column sender and receiver in a conversation

    Just have the option to switch the two columns. It seems more logical as the photo of the receiver is on the right side.

  2. Add contact icons in SMS threads :)

  3. Why are text messages split after 66 characters? It made it very expensive sending texts when I was on holiday in Turkey.

    Can SMS messages not be split after 66 characters? It makes it very expensive when abroad with roaming charges.

  4. Add support for urgent priority SMS

    I believe it's built in to the SMS protocol itself because every phone I've ever had had the option to change priority to urgent, but Textra does not have to option to send OR RECOGNIZE urgent priority.

    I sent myself a message from stock messenger with the priority sent to urgent but Textra does not show it any differently.

  5. Name conversation to group by the group name

    In the new 3.28 it is possible to name a group. Thanks :)

    But when the conversation is initiated by selecting a GROUP why not inherit the name?

    Perhaps also make a reverse lookup for a name by the recipient combination in the groups?

    (And please allow the use of both Google groups and local groups)

    After I delete messages, the messages return. Figure out a way to avoid deleted messages from returning.

  14. Inform when schedule time is before now

    There can be and am /pm mix up so that the text will go immediately if you choose a.m. instead of p.m. and the scheduled time is before now. If the scheduled time is before now please inform user before sending the text. Otherwise it will go immediately and defeat the whole idea of scheduling.

  15. Display which phone# a Contact is using especially in group thread

    When a group message comes in, and one contact has multiple phone numbers, I cannot determine which phone the a ender is using. Important for contacts who use multiple phones. Need to see which phone number the message is from, rather than just contact name.

  17. Ability to lock a contacts convo to the top of the convo list

    Say you have certain people that you always want their convo at the top of your convo list so you don't have to go searching every time for that specific convo, you know it'll always be right at the top when you open the app

  19. Chat Head Overlay

    We'd like to see a chat head overlay similar to that seen on Facebook's Messenger app. I love the ability to quick respond and pull down the drawer to do so, but having it on screen is a neat aesthetic that I think many users would enjoy.
    Facebook currently offers sending SMS from their messenger chat heads, but its not nearly as intuitive or customizable as Textra. No chat head SMS app currently runs smoothly, and they dont offer anything remotely close to Textras options. I believe it would be wise to tackle this feature before everyone else is running…
