Option to replace mic icon with emoji icon
More people use emojis than voice texting. Having the emoji icon there will allow for adding emojis faster. It's annoying to have to touch the + icon and then emoji icon to add an emoji.

A material design sliding menu
Add the material design sliding menu like most apps have now :)

create password and username for backup reasons.
Create password and username so if the app gets deleted you can log back into the app and still have all of your texts.

Option to launch the app instead of a single message from notification bar
When there's an unread text in the notification bar, clicking on that notification opens that text in a popup over the home screen. I'd like an option to launch the full app rather than just the partial screen popup.

Themes for individual people instead of just changing bubble colors.
Just as the title says. Make it to where you can change the theme per contact, instead of just bubble colors. I kind of bugs me when my bubble color for that person color clashes with the theme color I set.

Support for tinted status bar
With the recent update to Android L on S4, I noticed that the app still has the ugly gradient status bar from KitKat instead of the tinted one popular with Lollipop's style (see YouTube, Twitter...)
I would appreciate it if it were updated to provide a more modern and minimal appeal, and just congruent theme as most popular apps have done so already. Thanks, and love the app!

Since textra will now have ads, and there are plenty of free services without ads, I'll be switching.

Quick Actions on notification
I use floatify for my notifications. I love the quick actions on the notifications. I see Textra has a quick reply option which is great but it would be perfect if there was also mark read and delete options like evolvesms and 8sms have

If that person sends me a message right then though, I'm taken back to the newest message and have to start the search all over again. Time delay.
Option to set a time delay the same as emails where you can set a time to stop and start receiving texts again so you don't need to put your whole phone on silent or even to just silence your txts so you can still hear urgent calls but not have unimportant txts in the dead of the night.
