I really like this app for texting. I like the way it is simple to use and I have not had any problems. Ok so I now have been using this app
I truly wish you could have some way to close a text and still be able to open it intact and a way to get back a deleted message.

ability to see all pictures in gallery form like Samsung messaging app
it would be great to be able to do all of the pictures and multimedia sent under a chat or group chat versus having to scroll through all the messages to try and find a picture and from there then have to swipe because once you hit backspace it disappears and you get sent back to the bottom. Samsung gallery has it where there is a sub menu for a gallery within the chat or group messaging and you have the ability to see all multimedia that was sent versus having to search

Keep Messages by Age
The app already allows you to keep messages based on the number in the conversation. I would like to use an age instead of just a count. For instance keep the last five years worth of messages. Anything older than that gets deleted.

Text Grouping
There's a feature that's missing, the ability to create groups. There's another messaging app that lets you create groups to put messages/contacts in. I sorted them by Family, Work, General. I found it very useful and a nice way to sort the messages. please?

Backgrounds and Reations to texts, pics, and GIFs
Can you guys add customizations for backgrounds to your chats? Other texting apps have lots of background wallpapers or themes to choose from. Or the option to add your own pic as a background to your chats. Also this app would be beyond perfect if you could add access to all of the emojis for reactions to text as well as the added feature of being able to react to pictures and GIFs. So many other texting apps already do these things so Textra is quite behind in that aspect.

bug issue sending videos
could we look into video messages not sending on android?

fix bug, pictures disappear when text added to message
could we fix the issue with posting a picture and adding any text with it.... it deletes pictures and leaves a "!"

color Id for contacts
this is more of a concern. Textra seems to change the contact color it originally assigns.
ex. Jane Doe is originally assigned red, but when a new contact is added, textra automatically changes Jane Doe's color to purple.
I would like whatever color originally assigned or chosen to stay that color, I don't want textra to randomly change it.16 votes -
Please switch back to old photo attachment style
revert back to old photo attachment style before last update. new processes is added steps for no reason and is very annoying

Old way of posting photos
I struggle with posting photos now. The circle is too small and clicking on the picture should have an option to select it. It is very tedious to use. i would at least like a toggle to go back to the old way.

Speech to text
is there an option to speech to text? I can't find it.

Spam Blocker
put all messages from Spam numbers in a special Spam folder. but put messages from pharmacies, medical offices, and financial institutions, etc that might include yes/ no response requests or security verification codes in the regular inbox.
